Baraboo RV Resort by Rjourney

Family-oriented and activity-focused, Baraboo RV Resort by Rjourney operates seasonally from May through mid-October in Wisconsin's forested lake country. The campground accommodates RVs up to 100 feet with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections. Sites tend to run small, with reviewers noting that even experienced campers with average-sized units may need multiple attempts to position their rigs properly.

The property centers around a pond equipped with climbing inflatables that draw both children and adults. A sand beach area provides lounge chairs, though shade remains limited near the water. The facility includes a swimming pool, playground, mini golf, and dog park, with themed weekend events throughout the season. Most activities carry additional fees beyond the base camping rate. Clean shower houses and restrooms earn consistent praise from visitors.

Cell phone service reaches the campground, and the location provides easy access to nearby attractions. "Short drive to Devil's Lake and easy to get to town should you need anything," notes Kelly M.. The resort offers both tent sites and cabin rentals alongside RV spots, with a gift and supply store on-site. Campers looking for additional options can explore Dell Pines Campground or Dell Boo Campground in the surrounding area.

Many campers appreciated the family-friendly amenities like pools, playgrounds, and activities, plus clean facilities and friendly owners. Some visitors expressed disappointment with small campsites and customer service issues around reservations.

The casino of campgrounds- at least the empty wallet part

I called to reserve two sites months ago for Memorial Day weekend, asking specifically for adjoining sites since it didn't appear there was any way to do this online and we're camping with friends. The person answering the phone and taking my payment for the sites booked sites 77& 78 in my name. Today I called to confirm the reservation and find out the site numbers and it turns out we are clear across the park from each other at sites 16 and 78 and there are no other adjoining sites available. I guess we'll make the best of it since we already paid and really have no other options, however I'm incredibly disappointed that they couldn't follow through on a simple request when an accepting our payment. The customer service here sucks. I won't be back. I'm assuming our friends and their family won't either, and I’ll be sure to share my experience far and wide. Why on earth would I call to reserve two sites on the opposite ends of the park 10 months in advance? What if these were minor children staying in one of the sites? Ridiculous!

Family Campground, Small Sites

We had a mini family reunion here. The campground was nice, well maintained. The shower house and bathrooms were very clean. The pond had lots of great inflatables for the kids to climb on, and even the adults enjoyed them. The sand was clean with plenty of lounge chairs. Not much shade at the beach, bring your own. The pool looked nice, but crowded. We stayed in the pond. Lots of amenities to keep away boredom; however, there was an extra charge for their use. Themed weekends. The cabins were nice, cozy. My aunt stayed there with her family and enjoyed it. The campsites themselves are small. We have an average sized pop up and it took my husband quite a few attempts to back where we wanted/needed it. My uncle has a hybrid. It took him MULTIPLE times to be able to fit and he's a seasoned camper of 30+ years. Short drive to Devil's Lake and easy to get to town should you need anything.

Family friendly camping

I stayed here this weekend with my boyfriends family and it was wonderful. There’s a lot of activities for families and children to enjoy. It’s also less than 20 minutes away from devils lake state park which we spent our Saturday exploring. The location is also in a good area where you can still reach gas stations and stores if necessary. Everyone is super friendly, and the campground is well maintained. There’s also cell phone service here. I’m used to a more distant camping without cell phone service, stores are 20 minutes away, and no activities at all. But like I said, it’s a family campground really great for kids!
