Nice relaxing area with a lot to do with the family.

Cedar Creek is quiet and clean. The trails are decently marked, and the fishing is on point. All the campsites are electrical hookups. 4 different bathrooms in the camp area. I definitely recommend this spot if you have kids.

Great place to camp

A friend and I were just traveling through Ohio and needed a place to stay. This is an awesome choice for anyone who likes seclusion or needs a quick place to stay, only 15$ a night and three other campsites occupied, we had a great time. Very peaceful and clean, you can tell they take good care of…

Almost heaven....

What a beautiful place, great campsite with plenty of room between neighbors, weather was perfect and the staff friendly.

Clean and well stocked restrooms, a nice playground and clean bath houses.

Kayaking is wonderful since boat over 10hp are not allowed.

Quiet and beautiful

We arrived on a Sunday and no one was there for us to check in with, which we found odd. Our next stop was the dump station to make sure there was running water and to our surprise, there wasn't. The only way to fill up with water was a hose bibb on the Ranger office at the front gate. The…

Small Campsite

We had a good time, but it was insanely crowded and the sites felt like they were on top of each other. Our site was a giant hill, so we had to sent up our tents right by our cars. Our fire ring also didn’t have a cooking grate on it.

We did enjoy getting to rent a boat for a few hours and…

Stunning Fall Views

We love Wolf Run if you are just planning to chill at the campsite. Choose one of the “premium” sites for beautiful lakeside views! It’s pretty quiet and usually not busy.

If you are in to hiking, look elsewhere. There is a trail, but we have never been able to successfully follow it, as it…

Higher end campground offers alot

Nice campground it was early in the camping season. Vegetation was just taking off so, pics are a little drab. Nice golf course, lodge, little ferry boat. Take the clubs, maybe the pole, great fishing!

Winter Visit

We stopped here on Thanksgiving on our way South. Self paying, off season was $15. But the restrooms were closed. There were only 3 other sides occupied. Nice little campground in the Appalachian Foothills. Be aware that Google maps doesn't send you to the campground but to a parking lot at the…

Very wet in the spring, but a challenging backpacking loop

This campground is nice.  They are all designated campsites but they are first-come-first serve. They are hike-to only.

It is great for hiking and backpacking camping but if you are looking for car style camping, this is not it.

The trail is challenging terrain, especially when backpacking.  It…

Not too impressed

Just stayed here for one night with our 5th wheel when traveling home. I wasn’t too impressed. I thought it was expensive. The site was difficult to back into because everything was so narrow. I like to have a little bit of space when camping, but there were tent campers all around us. My…

Beautiful, peaceful setting

We came to Shadow Lake in October to camp for the month. To get here, you must drive through the rolling hills of Southern Ohio, which is absolutely gorgeous in October! The campground is beautiful and peaceful, especially at this time of year as most of the campers have either gone south, closed…

Awesome packbacking spot

Great spot for walk in or hike in camping! There are a couple of campsites at the trailhead and quite a few all along the trail. There is a 5 mile loop or a longer ~15 mile loop that you can hike and there are campsites every couple of miles. The sites themselves are just semi-cleared areas with…

Nice little campsite

Cool little campground. First come first served with no reservations accepted. The sites are clean with picnic tables and fire rings and can accommodate small RVs. There are a couple of vault style outhouses, dump stations and a couple of water stations as well. No electric or water hookups,…
