Beautiful State Park and Campground

We stayed for 4 nights in the Forest loop campground, #69. We tented. Lots of vegetation surrounding the site. Private feeling, clean site, bathrooms were renovated and clean. Tokens needed to use the showers. Three minutes per token, four Tokens for $1.00. You can buy the tokens at the entry…

Beautiful Campground

Great campsite with beautiful views. Bob, the camp host, is great and paying is super easy. Just set up your tent, and he or his partner will be by that evening to collect the payment, or they'll leave a note on the post. There's also a swing set and beach on the site and the field across the…

Fantastic

Large forested campground in a massive state park. Lots of trails and Great Lake paddling. Beach access but strong currents make this a challenge to kayak on the sound, at least from the Cranberry Lake CG.

Primitive and spectacular

Primitive tent camping at its best. Water available in campground along with latrines. Heavily wooded and lots of entry level trails to hike. Easy terrain and lots to see. Also did some geocaching along the trails here! Was here with group of Boy Scouts and they loved it.

Nice quiet 15 site campground

Beautiful tall semi old growth trees everywhere. The 15 sites are well maintained and form two loops around three portapotties. There appear to be other bathrooms but they were locked up. This place is the definition of a shady spot for pigmentally challenged white boys like me. There are a…

Ocean Fog

We stayed on a Sunday night, arrived when there was only 3 tent sites remaining. The campground is right at the ferry dock so you will get that early morning fog horn. Easy walk up the hill to the fort. We had a bald Eagle in the morning which was awesome. The restrooms are very clean. Showers are…

Great place close to Seattle

Camano Island State Park was a great campground so close to Seattle. We stayed in site 24 with friends on either side of us. The campsites were roomy with enough separation from our neighbors. Though 24 and 37 (I think) may have been a little close if it weren’t our friends. Some sites on the other…

Convenient

We didn’t have a reservation, but lucked out on a great site. All sites have a calendar posted with reservation dates listed. First come first serve is available for any not reserved that night. There’s a self serve pay station where it’s east to pay using card or cash. Super close to the Ferry…

Large Campground w/ Lots of Amenities

I suspect that if you are reading this you are already aware of the fact that you will not be roughing it at Deception Pass. Your about 10 miles from town in either direction here in a large & highly staffed state park.

There are really 3 campgrounds here. The fabled Bowman loop (if you…

Wow! Great park

We came up mid week for a few days. It was gorgeous. Nice old forest sites right on the water. A short path to the beach and playground. Beautiful new restrooms and well cared for state park

Beautiful getaway in the woods

We loved camping here. The rangers on duty were so nice and helpful. Nice and quite away from it all.

The beach is a short walk away.

The ice cream truck even visited the campground!

Overall, great experience the facilities were super clean and we had a great time.

Amazing location and experience

This is one of the most popular locations in Washington State and easy to see why. Both fresh and salt water experiences are within a few steps away with amazing sunsets and breathtaking views. Plenty to do for each family member. The only downside is the cramped feeling in most of the sites and…

Stumbled upon this and it's now my favorite

This was an unexpected beauty. The forest road to get down there is a one lane on the side of a cliff going straight down. You are committed once you are on the road. There is about 6 camp sites and they are spaced decently. It's a quiet spot near Baker Lake. The water is amazing!
