Best RV Parks & Resorts near Everson, WA

CAMPER SUMMARY PRESENTED BYFord

Several full-hookup RV parks operate near Everson, including Bellingham RV Park with year-round availability and sites supporting larger rigs. The Cedars RV Resort in Ferndale offers pull-through sites with 50-amp electrical service, while Thousand Trails Birch Bay provides sewer, water, and electrical connections about 15 miles northwest of Everson. "Small spaces but they are level and the price is right!" noted one camper about Norwest RV Park, which accommodates tent camping alongside RV sites with full hookups. Beachside RV Park maintains gravel sites with fire rings across from Birch Bay, though spaces can be tightly arranged during peak summer periods.

Reservations are strongly recommended, especially during summer months when coastal parks fill quickly. Most RV parks in the region provide sanitary dump stations, with Bellingham RV Park, The Cedars Resort, and Norwest RV Park all offering on-site dump facilities. Many parks remain open year-round, though Friday Creek Campground operates seasonally from May through November. Pet-friendly policies are standard across most locations, though designated pet areas vary significantly in size and quality. Cell service is generally reliable throughout the area, particularly at parks closer to Bellingham and Ferndale, while more remote locations may experience limited connectivity during inclement weather.

Town and Country Motorcoach and RV Resort

Great Stop After a Long Trip

We followed RV Trip Wizard south on I-5 straight to the campground (CG). At the stoplight next to Lowe’s, you simply continue straight into the resort entrance for check-in. Check-in was super easy and informative, and we were then escorted to pull-through Site 11 with FHUs. A standout feature here is that each long pull-through has full utility hookups on both sides. Sewer placement was excellent—neither too high nor too low—and the sewer cap even swivels to align with your hose(something we’d never seen before). The pad was long enough for our 40' toy hauler with the patio down, plus convenient parking for our F450. It was interesting that a CG this nice did not have picnic tables nor fire pits/barbecues at the sites. Connectivity was great: campground Wi-Fi delivered~49 Mbps down/ 44 Mbps up, while T-Mobile Home Internet hit 133 Mbps down/ 9 Mbps up. On the north side of the CG is a tree farm where dogs can roam off-leash. We were also able to receive packages—very helpful coming back from Alaska/Canada—and even had our vehicle washed onsite. An RV tech staying in the CG was available for repairs. The campground hosts and workers could not have been more accommodating—allowing package delivery, coordinating vehicle washing and RV repairs, and most of all not fertilizing our grassy site because of our 15-year-old pup. There is some road and occasional train noise, but nothing too disruptive. They were getting the shower houses and laundry building finished up while we were there. This is a very nice, newer campground, and we thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay.

    La Conner Marina RV Resort

    Decent Level Sites

Nice location conveniently located near the Marina, close to everything.

Premium sites are double wide and have a spot to park your RV AND Vehicle. Discount for Good Sam Club members.

Premium Sites $55 before discount (back-in only) Pull-through Sites $55 before discount Regular Back-in Site $45

All sites have Full Hookups, Picnic table & a minor grassed Area.

We stayed in a Premium site, enjoyed the view of the Fields behind us. Extremely quiet, open, not dusty. Downside, people don’t pick up after their Pets. We have two Shelties & think of others so we’re not the Culprits…

Otherwise, pleasant overall. Laundry accepts cards only which is extremely convenient since coins are hard to come by.

5G t-Mobile is 5-stars at our Site, it’s not listed as an option yet.

Hidden Village RV Park & Campground

Great price, very nice manager lady.

I rented a long term space here for over 2 years while working in Washington. Price was by far the best around. It's a very good sized place with spaces to accommodate even the largest trailers. Even when full there's room to maneuver.Full hookups, wifi, bathrooms, shower, laundry room, swimming pool. Has seperate parking for boats, utility trailers etc. Lots of big trees around for a fair amount of shade. Is pet friendly. Manager lady is very nice. Has a separate non power section for tents or dry camping. It's not the fanciest but for the price is great.

    Washington Park Campground

    Anacortes Camping

Great medium size campground surrounded by saltwater, short trails, and grassy picnic areas. Great views of islands and sunsets. Boat launch with large paid parking area. Walking distance to Skyline Marina for a variety of ocean activities. We went on a whale tour and encountered atleast 10 Orcas. Campground can be muddy in some spots. Mostly reservations, 14 day in advance, but there a a few first come first serve sites. Some with water and electric. Motorhome, trailers and tents. Some spots looked like they could handle 40 foot rigs. A couple longer pull throughs. Very shelterd anthrough. Not much good for solar. Showers and restrooms.

    North Whidbey RV Park

Clean, well organized RV Park for big rigs

We called early afternoon and asked if they had a space for that night for a fifth wheel with total rig length 53ft. Nice grass around all the campsites, 50 Amp electricity, water and sewer. Picnic table at every site. Lovely location but it can be noisy due to proximity to road and navy jets. Overall a great place I will stay again.

    Rasar State Park Campground

    Spacious Getaway

We just spent two nights cold weather camping here. It’s a beautiful quiet park with very spacious lots. There is not a lot to do besides hiking, but if you are looking for peace and quiet in the woods, this might be the ticket.

    Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park Campground

    Super great place to stay

Very clean, shaded, spread out campground. Family friendly so be weary of kids. Within walking distance to the lake with boat launch and beach. Toilets are clean with hand washing at the spickets nearby. Overall great place. No service whatsoever so be prepared. Campground claims to have Wifi but didn’t work. Lots of hiking and mountain driving nearby.

    Riverfront RV Park

Inexpensive and great for a one night

30 amp sites with water. Dump station was not on site. No showers but clean bathrooms. Traveling with friends and we were the only 2 RVs there except for a campground host. The host helped our friends replace a pin on a slide out.

    Bellingham RV Park

Basic, Clean Nice RV Park Near Bellingham

Cute RV-only park not far from the Canadian border. Parking spots are pretty straight-forward, as it’s just a lot for RVs. Advanced reservations are highly recommended. No tent camping available. Not far from gas stations and the Bellingham Airport.

Office/lodge has laundry room and showers. There is wi-fi that covers most of the park. Sites are gravel pull-throughs with full hook-ups and include picnic tables.

Guide to Everson

Camping areas near Everson, Washington offer year-round options within the agricultural valley of Whatcom County, where elevations remain below 500 feet and rainfall averages 35 inches annually. Winter temperatures typically range from 30-45°F while summer brings comfortable 70-85°F days. Campers find the shoulder seasons (May-June and September-October) less crowded while providing optimal weather conditions for outdoor activities.

What to do

Paddleboarding in Birch Bay: Located about 20 minutes from Everson, the shallow, warm waters of Birch Bay provide ideal conditions for beginners and families. "We enjoyed our stay. Our nephews came to visit and enjoyed the pool and small nature trails around camp. We paddle boarding in the bays!!" notes a visitor at Thousand Trails Birch Bay.

Explore La Conner waterfront: Take a 45-minute drive south to access coastal trails and water views. "The ocean side is pretty but do not expect a sandy beach," explains a camper at Thousand Trails La Conner. Sunset walks are particularly recommended: "The walks to 'Lone Tree' at sunset are amazing."

Visit abandoned Northern State buildings: History buffs will appreciate the unique hiking opportunity near Sedro-Woolley. "Surrounding areas to explore include a Dog Park just across the way, and a spooky hike among abandoned buildings which were once part of Northern State Mental facility," shares a camper at Riverfront RV Park.

What campers like

Clean facilities: Many rv campgrounds near Everson prioritize bathroom cleanliness. "Great set up for a small park with small sites. There are trees between every camp spot to add privacy. Best part is that the restrooms are clean and the showers are free," explains a visitor at The Cedars RV Resort.

Creek access: Waterfront camping provides refreshing opportunities during summer months. "Creek in the backyard, nice and secluded. Do have to bring tote up to bow location. Great showers," notes a camper at Friday Creek Campground, which operates seasonally May through October.

Private bathrooms: Some Everson area campgrounds offer individual bathroom facilities rather than communal setups. "Bathrooms/showers are single rooms not shared, very private and sparkling clean!" reports a visitor at Thousand Trails Birch Bay.

What you should know

Tent camping limitations: While RV sites dominate the area, tent options exist but with caveats. "If you are camping with a trailer or motorhome, this place is great but it is not for tent campers. I was surprised to learn when I checked in that there are no actual designated tent sites, just a big open grassy area with picnic tables and fire rings but no distinguishable separation between sites," reports a camper at The Cedars RV Resort.

Limited site privacy: Many campgrounds feature tightly arranged sites. "Cute RV-only park not far from the Canadian border. Parking spots are pretty straight-forward, as it's just a lot for RVs," explains a visitor at Bellingham RV Park.

Seasonal facility closures: Some campgrounds have intermittent utility issues. "June 2023 dump stations and all campsite sewer hookups are down for maintenance. Nearest offsite dumps are 10 miles away," notes a Thousand Trails La Conner camper, highlighting the importance of checking facility status before arrival.

Tips for camping with families

Pool access: Several campgrounds offer swimming options for children. "Nice park, friendly staff best Thousand Trails so far. They have all the usual amenities for resort," reports a visitor at Thousand Trails Birch Bay, while another adds, "The staff is super friendly and on top of everything. Lots to do here on site, but get out and explore the town."

Consider shoulder seasons: Visiting in May-June or September provides more space and availability. "Well manicured. Not especially private. It's nice, but I would prefer a spot that's a little more secluded. Benefits of this site are the facilities and the 15 minute drive to the ferry terminal," notes a camper at Friday Creek Campground.

Check for guest fees: Some parks charge for additional visitors. "Only problem I had was having to pay $10.00 for our guests just to park their cars by our campsite!!" warns a visitor at Thousand Trails Birch Bay.

Tips from RVers

Consider short-term stays: Many Everson area RV campgrounds work better for brief visits than extended camping. "If you're looking for a pass through RV park, skip this one. You'll regret your visit and just certainly leave frustrated," warns a visitor about Mount Vernon Campground, suggesting the importance of matching expectations to facilities.

Airport proximity: For those flying in to pick up rental RVs, Bellingham RV Park offers convenient access. "Flew in to the Bellingham airport, picked up a vehicle and arrived at Bellingham RV Park at about dusk. Registration process was super-easy. Park felt safe and restrooms, area around the RVs were all very clean and homey," reports a visitor.

Off-site dump stations: Not all RV campgrounds near Everson have on-site dump facilities. "Affordable stay $25 @7/2020. Free city dump station within a mile; easy to access," notes a camper at Riverfront RV Park, highlighting the importance of planning for waste disposal when selecting sites with limited hookups.
