Sycamore Bend Park sits on the shores of Lake Lewisville within the Lewisville Recreation Area, managed jointly by the Army Corps of Engineers and the Town of Hickory Creek. Campers park and walk a short distance to primitive lakeside sites, as there is no vehicle access to the sites themselves. No hookups exist: no water, no electricity, no showers. Sites run up to $20 per night with a three-night maximum. The park fills quickly on weekends, so arriving early matters. Nearby Hickory Creek COE Campground and other campgrounds near Lewisville Recreation Area provide alternatives if spots are taken. A boat launch, pier, playground, and fire rings round out the facilities. Paddlers and anglers will find the lake access the main draw here.
