We had a great time at Huntsville State Park. Will definitely be returning as it’s so close to Houston. Park was jam packed and it seemed like rangers were a bit nervous as they drove through the grounds multiple times. Our site had direct water access and my husband floated a bit but we saw an…

We were able to stay 3 nights across the clubhouse and pool. We uber to NASA and it was so convenient. We also had a shipt delivery to us for groceries! I could stay there longer but the journey had to roll on!

We have enjoyed our stay at the preserve! Have 3 little boys who enjoy fishing and they have plenty of creeks and ponds near campsites; it isn’t the most luxurious parks but if your looking for a state park feel this place is a home run!
Site 51 Raven Hill /
We stayed for a total of 3 nights and it was pretty awesome. The site we chose was enough room for my 30 ft camper and mega cab next to it. It was a tight fit but I know next time a 35 ft campsite does not mean you can fit a camper up to 35 ft. It’s total feet including your…
When we stay at KOA we know we will have a relaxing campground experience. The environment is clean and quiet .
This campground is probably one of the best in the area. It's clean, well maintained with excellent restrooms that are well lit and spotless. The boat launch is in great condition with plenty of parking. The camp store is well stocked and operated by the nicest of people. Slushes and Pickles all…

Nice place for tent camping there is no water bathrooms or electricity. Great place for being in contact with nature. If you are looking to be away from the civilization but at the same time not that far it is perfect.
I hadn't been camping in years but decided to go for it. My first stop of many was Huntsville State Park. It's the beginning of spring so no fish were biting, bugs fly after dark was crazy so once I'm in my tent I had to kill bugs. I used a spray but once they are in they're in. Beautiful lake,…

The sites themselves are as described on their website. Even the smallest site had plenty of room for a family to enjoy the outdoors with out feeling cramped.
I like Huntsville State Park campground for a long weekend getaway. It is about an hour north of Houston not far off Interstate 45, so very easily accessible. They have a large campground section which is only campsites, and also another section on the other side of a cove that is more of a…

The only part so would add to the other reviews..is the unlevel spots. We stayed in Raven and every spot has a minimum of four inch incline. Some forward and some to the side. The hosts are great at helping level and have extra wood. The park is beautiful and nice enough to deal with the large…
28 campsites! Not too close together either! They fixed the water spigots throughout the camp just recently. Bathrooms get cleaned daily, super clean during the week, but gets crowded on weekends. So bathrooms get kinda overused. The showers are hot! Many places have luke warm, but they turn up the…
We enjoyed camping at Double Lake. The campsites are huge and well kept. I believe all have full hookups. We had a lakefront site which had a private little path to the lake. The shore was good for fishing. There is a trail which goes around the whole lake, and it was such a nice hike we did…
