Best RV Parks & Resorts near Pittsburg, TX

This is our second year at Shallow Creek. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The grounds, laundry and shower rooms are clean and well kept. Level parking sites with full hook ups, easy access, picnic tables and park-like lighting are the things we appreciate at this RV resort.

Absolutely stunning Texas state park located along the Texas Forest Trail that showcases the rolling hills of pine trees that dubbed this region the name “Pineywoods” of East Texas. Clean lake with available kayaking and canoeing, and even paddle boats. RV hookups or tent campgrounds.

This is a rv park that is maintained by the Mineola Civic Center. The sites are level concrete pads with full hookups. Wifi is good and Verizon, T Mobile and AT&T work well. The park is located inside town and close to shopping. Bathroom and showers house was added last year. This is a great place for large rv groups and rallys. The rates are $39 daily. We are traveling in a 40 Motorhome towing a car and are coming up on the end of a 7 month tour of the USA gulf and east coast, now heading home to the Austin TX area, We were directed to an immaculate concrete pad site with full hookups. As it was during the week. and it is mid October the park was about 70% empty, expectations are that it will fill up for the weekend only until the winter months when I would expect the snowbirds arrive. I don't understand the negative reviews, and that is the reason I am writing this, my first review ever. The park has a large lounge with a grill/coffee bar/adult beverage bar, a game room, exercise room, and general store, all of which were brand new and beautiful. There is a small lake with lots of floating things for kids to climb on, a children's pool with lots of water features, a lazy river to float around using provided inner tubes, and an adults only pool with a swim up bar. Restroom/shower/laundry facilities were perfect. The staff was very nice. It is getting cooler here in October, so we were the only folks foolish enough to use the pools today. It is a cashless facility so you wear a bracelet and all purchases for food, drink, or whatever are charged to your credit card on file when you check out. We had great included WiFi and streamed most of out television using it, and our ATT phones were 4  to 5 bars. We are "spoiled" RV'ers used to staying at  pretty much top of the line, no kidding, real RV Resorts and this place certainly fits the bill. Its not cheap for sure, but it is wonderful. We will be returning this coming summer for a few week stay during our next journey. As it is a new facility, there are not a lot of trees for shade by the pads, but they will come as the resort matures I am sure. I recommend this park to anybody looking for a good experience. As a bonus, it is less than 15 miles from Kilgore, the antique capitol of TX.

They have sites for all campers,tents etc. Full hook-ups to water only. Paddle boats to rent. Swimming hole, several lighted fishing docks. boat ramps. You and your family will love this park

I stayed for 4 nights from a Thursday through Monday. The owner is very nice and helped me with choosing a drive thru site. It is well maintained. Mix of long term and short stay resident s. It is near a busy arterial highway so it's not especially quiet. The hookups worked great. I was two spots from the very front of the park. I used Passport America pass for my first 3 nights. I felt safe. It is very pet friendly. Keep dogs on leash and clean up after them. I have 3 black labs. No fenced dog park yet, so I drove them to the city park with tennis courts every morning to run free. I will most likely stay here again. I mostly boondock in the forests, but when I need a place to resupply and take care of business needs, this place is very nice.

An absolutely beautiful setting. This is a quiet, quaint park with the most beautiful views. I hosted a kayak camp out with 23 ladies to go kayaking. There is a kayak rental right next door which is a very short paddle to the camp. There’s a small boat ramp at the park so putting in is easy. There’s 3 trails close to the park. Trails took 1 -2 hours depending on which one you take and how fast you paddle. There’s a shower house with 1 shower, sink and toilet, very clean and plenty of room with a bench. The park is well kept and clean. There is a fire ring at each camp site and full hook ups. There is a HUGE public fire pit that is wonderful to gather with larger groups. The owners Pat and Leslie live on the grounds and are wonderful and available for any questions. This is a rather new park and is hidden gem at Caddo and well worth the stay.

The photos that you can find online for this RV park or misleading. When they say they have showers plural, restrooms plural, and laundry room When in reality they have one restroom which was filthy, one shower that was so dirty you could not stand in it. In one washer and dryer.

Great camping on Lake Bob Sandlin. Sites or not very level and they have full hookup , but other than that this is a great spot! Located on a point with the marina on the other side of the road! Beautiful sun rise and sunsets. Great for kayaking, fishing and just relaxing on the lake. There is a great hiking trail by the marina!

Another beautiful park on Wright Patman Lake, with a few full hookup sites. Beautiful area, tall pines, beach area, dock, boat launch. Beautiful park!
