With sites accommodating RVs up to 180 feet and nightly rates from $18-44, Brushy Creek operates as an Army Corps of Engineers campground within Lake O' The Pines Recreation Area. Reservations are available and recommended, as this lakefront location fills quickly during peak seasons.
The campground sits directly along Lake O' The Pines, with many sites offering lake views and direct water access. Concrete pads provide level parking, while each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. Electric and water hookups are standard, though no sewer connections exist—campers use the on-site dump station instead. Dannette notes the "RV spots right along the water" allow kayak and canoe launches directly from campsites.
Fishing draws many visitors to these waters, with a boat ramp and dock within walking distance of most sites. The lake's swimming areas provide additional recreation options. Cell phone service can be spotty throughout the campground. Bathhouses serve the camping loops, though water temperature in showers varies by time of day.
Access roads can present challenges, with some reviewers mentioning rough conditions. The campground's proximity to historic Jefferson provides off-site entertainment options. For campers seeking different amenities, Buckhorn Creek offers another Corps-managed option nearby.
