Summer Struggles

Overnight stay. Heavily wooded area. Lots of wildlife (deer hanging out in neighboring campsite). Grass was overgrown on site. Firewood we bought wouldn’t burn. Very buggy (swarming at your face). Had to drive to the shower house. There seemed to be a lot to see at this park and I’m sure it is…

A good park near TMC

I stayed here for several months. Once your inside the gates, the park was clean and staff was friendly. I had no problems at the park. Close to the Texas Medical Center. The area around the park is a bit rough.

Clean family fun

This rv reort is beautiful. It has level concrete pads with full hookups. The bathrooms and laundry facilities were immaculate. There is a waterpark but it wasn’t open yet when we were there. There is a nice covered basketball hoop Area and little park off of site 79 for the smaller kids. A must…

Nice park close to Houston

I like state parks and this is a good example why. The sites are well spaced, well maintained and relatively inexpensive. About $20. You can reserve online and the web site has photos of the site so you know it works for you.

Site have electric and water and the dump station is at the entrance of…

Nice clean and quite

This park is tucked away from the main highway and roads but is close enough to restaurants and other amenities. Folks are friendly and it is a quiet atmosphere. All the spots are pull throughs. This looks to be an older park so the widths are a bit smaller but manageable but the price makes up for…

Great Park

We stayed at Leisure Lanes in Conroe TX. Our stay was planned for two nights. Do to the Texas freeze we stayed a total of two weeks. The staff is amazing and the RVers that stay there are super welcoming.

Eric and Jays RV Resort

This is a newer campground and we were pleased with our stay there. The welcome building, bathrooms/showers and gym are all brand new and updated with modern design. There is coffee available for free to guests in the rec room, which is a nice place to relax. There is a fully stocked pond for…

Great 5 days here

This was in my top 5 KOA’s to stay at. We stayed 5 days. Close to amazing Lake Conroe. We had a blast here. Fishing in the pond for some small mouth. Each and every staff member was friendly and courteous. The spots are spread out with tons of room. We will be back here definitely!!!

Busy Campground

We camped here for a long weekend getaway, and wanted to see what a Thousand Trails campground was like.  The campground is huge, and you cannot reserve a specific site.  You drive around and pick a site, then call and let them know which one you're in.  This is fine, but we were looking for a…

Alligators!

We loved this place! Our campsite was on Burr Oak loop. Very spacious. Quite a walk to the bathroom though. Very clean bathrooms.

The trails are awesome! So glad we had our bikes, it allowed us to cover a lot of ground. We did see over 10 alligators. Some on the side of the trail, some in…
