ScoutWe enjoy the lazy river, putt, putt, and kayaking on the bay. It is an easy walk to the beach. Galveston State Park is on the other side of to make a beach if you want to stay on the water. However, we really enjoy the resort setting and the people that camp here as well as the people who run the camp ground.

Its a bit away from town, but that adds to the tranquilness of the park. Accommodation: The RV sites were well-maintained and spacious, with clean concrete pads that provided easy access for our motorhome. We were pleasantly surprised by the level of privacy between sites and the beautiful greenery surrounding the campground, as we had a corner site with dog pen. Some spots, like ours, even offered nice trees for shade and added charm. The amenities included water, electricity, and sewer connections, all functioning properly during our stay. Facilities: The campground featured clean restrooms and showers that were well-kept, which is always a plus for RV travelers. The camp store was stocked with essentials. The KOA’s location is exceptional. It’s just a few miles from the heart of Galveston, making it easy to access the beach, restaurants, and attractions like the historic Pleasure Pier and the Strand. We especially loved how close it was to the beach—it was a quick drive(or a nice bike ride) to the sandy shores, where we spent hours soaking up the sun. Activities and Atmosphere: The staff were friendly and eager to help with information about local activities and attractions. The KOA offered recreational options like a swimming pool. The campground maintained a family-friendly atmosphere that made it easy to unwind and enjoy nature. Tips for Future Guests: If you plan to visit during peak season, make reservations in advance to secure a good spot, as this campground can get busy. Especially if you want a cabin. Don’t miss the chance to explore the beach during sunset—it was truly a breathtaking experience!
