Absolutely breathtaking! Parked parallel to the dunes off the packed down sand! We’re a good distance from all the houses to avoid any potential issues. No permits required and the signs upon entering the beach make no mention.

Close to Galveston but still quiet

Month long stay, $730, water, 50 amp. End of October/beginning of November the park is booked out as well as during warmer months. Half of the facilities washers and dryers didn't work. Staff is great about communicating lawn days and other news for long term guests. Trash valet and 2 free parking spots. 2 dogs parks, one for large and another for smaller dogs.

Hidden Gem in the Texas Swamp

We stayed at spot 128 in the Burr Oak. It was very easy to back into, the site is super wide and full asphalt. Site was very level. Bathrooms were somewhat close, about 4 or 5 sites down with a shortcut through the woods. Not a lot of street lights throughout the campground made things nice and quiet at night. The site had good Verizon cell service, around 25-50 mbps. The Tmobile service was around the same. This place is very remote and the park itself is huge, we only stayed one night but it has a ton to offer! Overall the campground was clean, very quiet, with a ton of activities.

Easy hard packed sand to drive on

Drove in on a Monday and love it already. They were combing the beach section I came in on and I picked the first spot that was at least 100 yds away from the only two others that were there. So far so great.

    Small, nice, beachfront !

Very nice place. Only 14 spaces all with concrete pad, picnic table, and full hookups. Very clean and well maintained. Just steps from the beach with an outdoor shower to clean off the sand before you head home. Also a 6(?) room hotel on site. Staff is always available. The company who does the lawn care accidentally cut both my sewer hoses and The Breeze owners had them replaced in 5 minutes!

    Amazing

This place did not disappoint. Amazing all around! A lot of activities for the little ones and the pool was really nice and heated! There was even a couple residents that got out some kites and bubbles for the kids! The only negative is that this was our very first stay at an RV resort, so the bar is set extremely HIGH! We have now stayed a few others and this is still at the top of the list. It’s close to everything but yet far enough away. Will definitely be back!

    Still needs work

Pros: office lady very nice, site 1 has 1 tree for shade, ferry w/ our travel trailer from Galveston Island was easier than expected, large dog park, close to Camp Margaritaville.

Cons: gravel sites, bathroom super gross with no TP, dirt rv road kicks up lots of dust, right on noisy highway.

    Clean, quiet, and inviting

Wide roads to maneuver and large spaces made it easy to get in and get setup, no cars clogging the lanes.  Private rooms in the bathhouse let you feel comfortable and not like a locker room.

Everyone was so friendly and nice and the park feels like you are not in the city despite so close to everything.  At night the string lights overhead give a warm and comforting feeling to walk around and enjoy the cool evening air.

No trees or picnic tables at the sites, but, we had our own table and chairs to use.

    Highly recommend to all!

Great spot during the middle of the week

Does not have the white sands of South Padre, but not much of a chance of getting stuck unless you really try. Dodge 2wd 1500 pulling 10 ft trailer with no issues getting in and out. Very quite during the week. There is some trash around and that is sad. We picked up every day but still needs help fosterm all. Weekend it get a bit crowed and becouse of the hard pack sand, some people we're going alot faster then the 15 mile an hour speed limit. Weelend also brings vender trucks coming down the beach all the time. We were a bit irritated at 1st but then bought ice-cream LOL  We live in Fort Worth and the trip here is about 200 miles shorter then South Padre so it will be a great place to hit when we dont want to travel that extra 200

We were lucky to find this place. Location is great as you have several major stores within a mile. This is a wide open park (no trees) but the sites are paved and well spaced. Were there for Halloween and had some kids trick or treating within the campground. Not sure if I'd like to stay here in the middle of summer but would for sure come back. Mgmt was great. There is a RR track near by but we've gotten used to those.

    very positive camp

It sounds like you had a memorable experience during your stay! Friendly staff, clean facilities, and great beach walks definitely contribute to a positive impression. It's wise to prefer the bay side sites for a quieter atmosphere and fewer crowds. Watching interesting birds adds to the charm, but it's essential to stay cautious of snakes, as you mentioned encountering a rattler. Making reservations in advance seems like a good tip to avoid any hassle, especially during busy weekends. If you need any assistance with your writing tasks, consider checking out https://payforessay.net/ for reliable help. Additionally, having reservations in advance can provide peace of mind and ensure a smoother experience during your stay, allowing you to focus more on enjoying the surroundings and less on logistical concerns.

Great Sunrises . Not Busy In Winter

Bolivar Beech: A nice experience during the week. However, there is lots of activity on the sunny weekends. I have heard that it is very crowded with campers during spring break and in the summer. Also, there is a gated community being built behind the section of beach near Retilion Rd. I spoke with two city officials with Nuisance Abatement. There is talk of instituting a 2 week limit.
    (Scale 1- bad, 5-Very good

(70 yr olds in 17’ trailer.)

Overall Rating: 4 - would be a 5 but for heavy usage of day users during sunny weekends. Many are great. Few are not. One child came behind our camper and helped herself to our collection of shells while her mom watched. Careful of your belongings.

Price 2023: $10 to the right of Rettilon Rd. Free to the left of Rettilon Rd. Security: None Usage during visit: Campers: Light this time of year Site Privacy: None Site Spacing: Plenty of room to spread out and most campers do. ‘Pad’ surface: Sand Reservations: No Campground Noise: Noisy on weekends. Quiet, for the most part at night, but for the occasional party persons.
Road Noise: None Through Traffic in campground: Lots of folks driving the beach on the sunny weekends. Minimal during the week. Dispersed Camping . Potable Water Available: Bring what you need. Generators: Allowed. Bathroom: One pit toilet in our area, at the beach end of Rettilon Rd . It is very full after the weekend. Bring your own TP. It runs out.
Showers: No Cell Service (AT&T): 2 to 3 bars Setting: Beach, dispersed Recent Weather: S50s at night and 60s during the day.
