Beautiful site

Booked this place for a weekend get away with my girlfriend and we couldn’t have been more happy. Beautiful views, right on the river, and close enough to town for convenience. We’ll definitely be back!

Fun Summer Camp!

Being a San Antonio native, it was nice to visit a State Park in my old backyard! Nightly Dances are great for all ages! Especially loved hearing the Camp’s theme song! Asked a female ranger for suggestions where to put down my yoga mat. She let me know a sweet place by the River between the…

Rio Frio 460

This site was located 2 sites away from a wide road to the river. We took our kayak down this path on wheels (would’ve been a hassle without the kayak carrier). The site also has a narrow game trail to the water. The bathroom is a short hike away through the shortcut up the nearby hill. Slept with…

Primitive Campsite H

This is the most remote campsite in the park. A very far hike out but likely the most private site. Not many views once you’re on the loop on the way there, but the terrain is nice and rocky.

Primitive Campsite G

One of the furthest out campsites in the park. A great hike on the way there but make sure you start early. Quite a ways away from the restroom.

Primitive Campsite B

Amazing campsite, stayed at one of the very private sites. Do not take the word “steep” on the trail maps lightly. It is steep on the way here. The view of the night sky was incredible, and there was a gorgeous scenic overlook nearby. Bathrooms are a ways away... make a pit stop on your way up.

Simple, friendly, gorgeous

This was our very first trip out so this is from a newbie perspective: Easy to get into and out of and our site was right on the end of the “do not drive” section so the kids had a HUGE yard area to play in which was awesome.

We arrived 4 hours later than planned ... right at dark 🤦🏻‍♀️ but…

Great space in Bandera

We camped here Memorial Day. The staff was very friendly and the sites were clean with sewer hook ups. It had rained so the site was pretty flooded, but we made the best of it. There are a lot of things to do for kids and the pool was not too crowded.

Lovely park with a bit of everything

We stayed in the Live Oak camping loop which has spacious sites and RV hookups. The park has great hiking with some trails basically going straight up to the tops of the surrounding hills. Be sure to check out the caves and the view from Old Baldy. We saw plenty of birds and even turkeys! The river…

Clean family friendly

This place is very nice. Clean bathrooms, near river, has a play area for the kids. Deer come up and eat in the field in the evenings as well.

Quiet lovely park

We really enjoy coming to this park. They have great waterfront sites for our 30RB airstream and lots of hiking areas for dogs along the Guadalupe River. Owners are great and the clientele always seem friendly.
