Great option

Easy online reservation and once at campsite easy check in. In spot #2 with Winnebago Revel so it's easy parking. Fire pits and BBQ grills at various campsites. Bathroom and showers are clean and easily accessible. 30 and 50amp plug and grey/black tank disposal at each site. River across street for swimming when it has water. Store with gas and diesel onsite too.

Great Destination

Nice campground with water and electricity. Plenty of open space for kids to play. I would classify the hiking trails as moderate. Lots of elevation change but the views are spectacular. Fall is the optimal time to visit to experience fall colors, but plenty of places to swim during the summer.

Best birthday camping experience!

This was a great campground for me as a first time camper. There is a cost to stay there so there is also water & electricity available at the campsites. There are also restrooms & showers as well. A walking distance from the campsite is an amazing trail that takes you through a small section of maple trees. Those maple trees were said to have made it from the ice age! I did a seven mile hike that ascended up different kinds of terrain. I definitly recommend this charming piece of hill country if anyone ever gets a chance to camp here!
