Best private rv park!

We did social distancing this weekend, and this park was awesome! Full hook ups and clean areas to camp!

Friendly and quiet - not on a busy highway

Beautiful facility. Small campground, maybe 20 sites. Most of them open with no shade, although we had some morning shade with ours.  Lovely lake and fishing and very friendly staff. The food at the restaurant is very reasonably priced and delicious. We camped at Matilda's Lakeside Store & RV Park in a travel trailer.

Very nice RV park

This is a nice RV park with a meeting room and work very well for Chapter meetings

Tent Camping

Since the primitive tent sites are down due to flooding, we set up our tent on a nice RV spot near the lake (site 9). If you drive around, you’ll find some good spots like this for tent camping. A little expensive at $30 per night, but it was still worth it. Pretty water. Gorgeous sunset. Good fire pit. Running water and electricity was nice.

Only complaint: our neighbors a couple sites down were blasting music until 1am. Not a peaceful experience for sleeping. I wish the park attendants would have stopped them sooner, as the official quiet time is 10pm. Otherwise, excellent spot!

Quiet, clean, fun place to camp or be a long term resident!

We are full time campers at this RV park and absolutely love it.  It's quiet, clean and the owners are constantly improving the facilities.  It was good before but it keeps getting better.  There is a new BBQ pit area with picnic tables that was added a few months ago.  A dog park, water filling and propane filling station are in the works.  We are right across from a free public boat ramp where we can launch our kayaks with breeze.  The fishing on Lake Amon Carter is the best. There is a laundry, shower and restroom facility with keypad entry.  A convenience store that sells excellent food.  We have stayed in many parks and this is by far the best.

Words can’t describe “Beautiful”

Absolutely our favorite park. The staff was so helpful. Made for a great first time camping. Sparked a new love of camping and adventure. Awoke a greater love of the outdoors.

Well maintained, Quiet, Friendly campground

Nothing negative to say about our stay here!

Ken, the owner, is very friendly and helpful and introduced himself on our first day here. Our pull through spot on gravel was level and clean. The grounds are very well kept and decorated with Texas charm. The office is well lit with bistro lights after dark, for late arrivals.

Spotless communal areas include the bathrooms, kitchen, and wash house. A small swimming pool looks to be fun in the warmer months.

The town of Denton is nearby with plenty of grocery options, shopping, and cute restaurants. Don’t miss Thai Square if you love Thai food.

Overall, a very affordable campground with exceptional service and cleanliness. Cute alpacas and friendly watch dogs are an added bonus!

Nice couple own it, fun place to tube and great camping

Came out w my hubby and 2 boys, 8 & 10. We forgot our adapter but they had a loaner for 20.00 we got back on Mon. It was our 1st trip w our new 50amp. We tubed on Saturday and on Sunday we hung out on sandy island w new Friends while hubby n boys fished.

Don't get fooled by the name, there are all kinds of people there. I expected toothless Hillbillies haha. Not at all. This 3day weekend was full of families. Staff was great, just wish there were not mosquitoes .

Great location and value for the $$$

This campground is nestled in the middle of a neighborhood on Lake Dallas. There are about 15 RV sites(30/50 amp), 15 primitive sites with showers and restrooms. This campground is well patrolled and maintained. There is a couple mile walking trail at starting at the campground that is paved. The campsites are pretty well spread out and many of them have awesome views of the lake. We would stay here again!

Great little park

Good people, good rates, good park. Gravel sites. Good laundry and showers. North of Denton, convenient to UNT. Eat at Babes in Sanger.
