Samuel W. Wahl Rec Area

With sites priced at $15 per night, this city-managed recreation area provides both RV hookups and walk-in tent camping along the lake. Campers access the area via standard roads, though RVs over 25 feet may find maneuvering challenging on the approach routes. Sites include covered picnic tables and 30/50-amp electrical service with water hookups, but no sewer connections are available at individual sites.

The campground maintains trails leading down to the water, giving campers direct lake access for fishing or water activities. A dump station serves RV campers needing waste disposal. For those wanting more amenities, Hotel Garza Bed & Breakfast offers a different lodging experience about 20 miles northwest.
