Beautiful white sandy lake beach. Nice playground, clean bathrooms, washers and dryers, camp store. Ice and firewood available 24-7. Loved our camp site. We chose one not right on the lake because of our 1 yr old explorer but we could still see the lake. Bring an air mattress if in a tent because…
Our visit to Piney campground was good. Nice level spot with power. Nice playground. Bath house was cleaned every day. Large dumpsters for trash but no recycling nearby. Boat ramp was good plenty of shore to beach your boat. Some sites well shaded, some not.

This campground is a hidden gem! Stayed at Site 25 and had a great view all weekend.
There are only 15 sites so it's small but not crowded.
Several sites have 50A service, the rest have 30A and all have water.
Several sites are on the water and the rest are near it. Great for…
We love the primitive sites at Nathan Bedford Forest! Each site is along the River banks, so you get the best views! Fire pits and picnic tables included. The bathhouse is very old though and does not have a shower. That is the only reason I couldn’t give this one 5 stars!

We were on a cross-country trip headed back to Georgia. This was our last night before arriving home. The camping space we were assigned was wonderful, right on the water with a cute little deck attached. Unfortunately, our neighbor had taken the 30 AMP hook-up and we did not have a 50 AMP line…

Really nice spots have both non electric and electric. With America Beautiful Pass only 8 dollars a night non. Lots of trees with lake access. Quiet too. Level gravel spot with fire ring and picnic tables
On your honor payment $10 per night for up to 8 people per campsite. Site number 1 had lots of trees right at the site perfect for hammocks. There were lots of sites with trees for hammocks but we had 7 people and that one was perfect. A little close to the gravel road had a couple of cars drive by…
Great place for backcountry though you can drive right to the spot. The gravel road back can be rough especially right after a big rain but you can avoid most of the holes. The site is right on the water with a gravel opening beside it. We were able to setup 4 tents with lots of room to spare. We…

We love all the bays and coves at LBL. We prefer less crowed camp areas and that is what sugar bay offers. Right on the water with access to several other things close by. Spots are in the grass and nothing fancy but perfect for us that love to Tent camp and enjoy natural comforts over amenities.
If you are traveling far with your camper or RV this is a great stop over place. It’s not far off the interstate but far enough to feel like you are way off.
No sewer but dump station. Rates are extremely high during peak season if you can get in. I would suggest looking at Hillman Ferry state campground to see if they have availability first.
Primitive and out of the way. Great for what it is.
Nice place. Not 5 star but ok. Pads are on steep slopes.
Nice to get away from everyone and everything. Primitive.
Nothing fancy here. Pull off the highway and here it is. Older facilities but very clean.
Pretty close to other conveniences so it's br good for kids to get away without getting too far away.
