Creekside Campground Deadwood

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Situated along a creek in the Black Hills outside Deadwood, Creekside Campground draws a loyal crowd, particularly during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, when the campground fills steadily and the on-site general store becomes a practical stop for supplies. The privately managed property runs both tent sites and full-hookup RV spots, with a maximum RV length of 50 feet. Rates range from $27 to $95 per night depending on site type.

The campground's facilities get consistent attention in reviews. Restrooms and showers are repeatedly described as well-maintained, and the grounds themselves are kept up regularly. Brian K. notes the RV sites are "spacious and well groomed." Cabins are also available and include basics like a microwave, mini-fridge, and air conditioning. Solar lights line the walkways, which helps with navigation after dark. Staff flexibility stands out as well: late arrivals can be accommodated with pre-arranged check-in instructions left at the office.

WiFi, electric, water, and sewer hookups are all on-site, along with a dump station. Cell service reliability comes up enough in reviews to be worth checking before arrival. The campground sits within reach of Deadwood and serves as a reasonable base for day trips to Mount Rushmore, Devil's Tower, and Badlands National Park. Campers wanting a different setup nearby can look at Wild Bill's Campground or Fish'n Fry Campground and Cabins a short distance up the road.

Great campground ❗️

We stayed 3 days in Sep 2022 and would definitely stay again. Julie was great, answered 1st timer questions and is an asset to Creekside. The small campground lake is a nice getaway. Close to Deadwood and Mt Rushmore, Devil's Tower and the Bad Lands, this campground with both full amenities and primitive, is an excellent choice.

Clean cabin by creek

Loved staying in the clean cabin by the creek. Bathrooms were also very clean with showers and the lawn was well maintained. The sidewalks are lined with solar lights so it’s beautiful and easy to see your way around at night.
We communicated on our online registration that we would be pulling in after office hours and they were great in accommodating our late arrival by taping a map and campground rules to the office door for us. Julie offered us a heater for the night but we didn’t need it. Good company of visitors and friendly place. Would stay again!

Excellent value for the area.

I have stayed at Creekside 12 out of 13 years during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. The owners do not gouge you for any supplies needed at the General Store. The have the best rates, customer service, and camping spots in the area. They have tent and full hook up RV sites and are close to the events. They cook a breakfast and a dinner if you wish to purchase and have other snacks sandwiches, ice, water, beer and a well kept shower house with hot water. I love this campground and plan to continue my Annual visits there.

Nice....

Had originally planned on tent camping, but when storm clouds came up opted instead for a cabin. Reasonably priced, very clean and with all the basics; micro/fridge/AC and power for recharging equip. Bathrooms & showers were absolutely spotless. RV sites appear to be spacious and well groomed. Several miles to Deadwood, but still convenient. Excellent all around
