Situated along Whitewood Creek just outside Deadwood, Fish'n Fry Campground and Cabins runs year-round and draws anglers with a stocked trout pond and small streams threading through the property. Sites are a bit tight, and cell reception is notably low, which makes working or streaming difficult. The on-site cafe serves burgers and cooked-to-order trout. Full hookups accommodate RVs up to 50 feet, and showers and restrooms get consistently good marks for cleanliness. Campers using this as a base for campgrounds around Lead or day trips to Mount Rushmore and Devils Tower will find the location practical. Wild Bill's Campground sits nearby for those wanting a different setup.

From the East: I-90 to Sturgis Exit (#30). Left through Boulder Canyon (12 miles) into city of Deadwood. Follow road to 3rd light and turn left following signs for 385 south. Turn left onto Highway 385 and go over Strawberry Hill (5.5 miles). Campground is on the left at curve in road. From the West: I-90 to Deadwood Exit (#17). Follow the road 8 miles, veer right into city of Deadwood. Then see above. From the South: Follow Highway 385 going north. From Hwy 44, campground is 19 miles on the right side.
