It’s a great location and very quiet. Walk in campsites and pretty secluded. You can see you neighbor, but a decent amount of space in between and not many campers overall. No electricity, but there’s LTE connection. Also only one pit toilet for each gender and no running water at the site.
Site #1 on the lake. Level paved drive way lots of shade. Great campground.
Loved the campground. Spread out, nice and peaceful. Bathrooms and showers were not the cleanest, but you are camping. We had site 88 which was great. Plenty of room for two trucks, 32 foot camper and a 19 ft boat. I will say it would have been much nicer if they would cut the shoreline to give you…

Great park with water front sites.Plenty of fishing areas. Not much near the site for supplies so bring your supplies if possible.Park can get a little noisy on weekends with festive groups so expect that at times.Overall a nice place to go.Staff is very courteous as well.
I gave this campground four stars, but only for RVs and travel trailers. I would not give it four stars for tent campers. Tent campers would have a hard time finding a suitable site that would not be too rocky. When I checked in, the lady was nice enough to find a site with grass behind the gravel…

The water is out so there isn’t water other than that it’s a great campsite. I like quiet spots and this is good for that.

First time here. Camped 3 nights and loved it. Nice, level( and plentiful) sites. Great facilities. Only downside is it's difficult in most areas to access the lake with your kayak. We certainly will return!
This park is really nice and clean! You can tell that it is well taken care of. The sites are large and far enough a part; but be mindful of the site you pick! Our sites were right next to the highway, I will say though we did tune the noise out the longer we stayed (and drank). Palmetto shores has…

We camped here in August with our grandchildren. We had great “neighbors”. It was so beautiful and the camp sites were right in the water. We had such a great time there. We can’t wait to go back!
This Campsite is absolutely beautiful, we stayed during labor day weekend so it was really crowded and we like that because it makes us feel safer. Well we came home and everyone was gone except for 5 campers. We decided to go out to dinner and when we came back we immediately noticed that our tent…
1st time here and it was amazing! Nice owners and very helpful. Bathrooms were very clean. The wifi was great. The beach area is super nice to spend a day on the water with your family. Price is a little higher then the state park but so worth it!!
First of all: this place is mainly an RV campground and I am a tent camper.
But I was desperate, so I showed up here without any prior contact or reservation.
They allowed me to pitch my tent close to the lake, far away from the RVs. They do have a bathroom with a shower and it’s not in the best…
Beautiful state park campsite on the water. Clean. Newly renovated community areas. Great rentals and goods to purchase from the Ranger Station. Affordable, yet luxurious.
We stayed here a few weeks ago and were very happy with our stay. The May flies were thick and covered everyone's camper. The staff was very friendly. The only complaint was that the turn we had to make from the main road in to the isle where our campsite was, was almost too tight. Other than, we…
Would have been nice to have water within walking distance of the campsite. Get sight 1 of Longleaf campground, otherwise it's a long way to drag your stuff unless you are set up for back packing. Hiking was decent but not spectacular. If you Kayak put in at South Cedar Creek and it will be worth…
