Best Campgrounds near Central Point, OR

We've been stopping for a quick overnighter going from points a to b. The park has a lot of nice features, including the river and hiking trails, it also has a kids program, campfire nights and the camp hosts are very helpful. Downside is their infrastructure. The power stations are breaking down, the maintenance staff has trouble fixing things because they have no parts, so it's sort of make do. Bull head thorns are sprouting everywhere, we have to be really vigilant when walking our dogs.

Water is good. T mobil and att work really well. There is also a separate dump station that is clean and well kept. The trash guy actually empties the dog waste bins as well as the normal waste bins.

Unless you sleep on a cot by yourself, avoid site b2.

Absolutely one of the best places to recharch my nomad batteries I've found.

The camp ground are in good shape. Right on the river, but right on 199. Can be a tad loud.

We had the place to ourselves for a week at end September/beginning of October which was great. We enjoyed the shaded campsites with a tent and the rest of our party parked their RV with ease. There are pit toilets, garbage cans and well with a hand pump.

Hiking in the area is nice with a 3.5 mile loop to the lake and back. There’s additional trails and tracks across the road from Lily Glen. We came just before hunting season… be mindful of hunters if exploring the BLM lands during season. The night sky was gorgeous.

The only drawback was the constant noise of logging trucks at night. They were coming from Keno Road so the noise included them gearing down to the stop sign and then getting back up to speed when passing the campground.

This is a great first night stopping point when heading south from Portland on I5. So close to the hiway. Nice spots and a view of the river.

I'd consider this more of a stop over point than a real camping destination, but it serves the purpose so well. Love our Oregon State Parks!

We camped in our van for $25 per night. Tent and car camping available. There are RV hookups too. Some small cabins and yurt structures for rent too. On site showers and bathrooms. Developed hot pool for day use, with a discount of you are staying there overnight. Sauna and steam room available. An amazing peaceful place to be just outside of Ashland.

Newer construction. The spots are very flat and well maintained. Sites are staggered on a slope so most spots have a view of the lake. Super windy at the moment not sure if that's normal year round

Best stop off hwy 5, Northern California  during the hot summer months . the river is refreshing .

Found the location to be good. Close to Crater Lake and other outdoor nature spots. The bathrooms and showers were clean. The laundry was reasonably priced and convenient. Will stay again.

I stayed here three nights while visiting the redwood Forest and I went to the casino one night. It's very clean you can't hear the highway noise at night. There is a chance that a medevac helicopter comes in. It did while I was here.

There’s nothing here except the highway but you can drive down the bike trail and stay there as well, just so your further away from the lot and the road.

This is a crowded, run down campground.  The campsites had personal items/a sofa left outside their unit.  Many units had clutter and misc. stuff outside of their RV.  We wouldn't advise staying here.

Another fabulous camping experience. We loved this place.

Only 3 sites allow you to hit the trails from your site with your ATV and they have power and water too.

Nice spot with good vibes. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There was coffee in the morning in the office which was nice. We had some privacy because we went during the off season. The nice ammeneties made it feel a bit like glamping even though we were car camping.
