Anglers and paddlers gain direct access to the Rogue River at this Forest Service campground, which also serves as a launch point for whitewater kayaking adventures. Located on a gravel and dirt road that can develop sizable potholes, River Bridge Campground sits about a dozen sites among heavy woods that provide substantial privacy between neighbors.
The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis from May through October, with sites accommodating RVs up to 25 feet. Campers find no running water or dump station on-site, though vault toilets and trash service are provided. A day-use area across from the campground entrance draws crowds of people fishing, relaxing, and tubing during peak season. JL notes the "huge trees and quiet setting made for a true camping experience."
The location keeps road noise to a minimum, positioned away from major highways. Cell service reaches the area, and both campfires and alcohol are permitted. Some occasional OHV noise from day users can occur, though the wooded setting generally maintains a quieter atmosphere. Mountain biking trails extend from the campground into the surrounding forest.
For campers wanting full hookups, Mill Creek Campground offers developed facilities just over two miles southeast.

River Bridge is very small campground with limited facilities, but generous site spacing and excellent river access within walking distance. Massive Douglas-firs provide ample shade for the campsites, which is pleasant in the heat of the summer, and privacy between most sites is provided by other vegetation. The river is wide, with several sandy areas that offer a place to sit and relax by the river. Access to an extensive OHV trail system is nearby. The entrance to Crater Lake National Park is approximately 6 miles away, making this a great place to camp if you're interested in doing a day trip to the park. Additional day trips include the Rogue-Umpqua Scenic Byway with its waterfalls, and the Rogue Gorge.
