River ready fun

I visited this campground July 3, 2023 while inspecting the USFS sites between Prospect and Union Gap.

It is right on a large river and is a gravel and dirt road.  Nice spacing between sites, but generally open.  Opposite the entrance to the campground is a day use area populated with a lot of people fishing, relaxing, and tubing.  I didn't see any mosquitoes.  There was no water, nor any dump site.

Incredible, Quiet, and Intimate Forrest Campsite

One of our favorite campsites so far. Huge trees and quiet setting made for a true camping experience. Being able to put on the river for a river quick whitewater kayaking adventure made it all the better.

Good dry camp with toilets

Very nice location. Far from the road so no road noise. No reservations, first come first serve.

Right on the Rogue River. Excellent river side hike. Camp sites are very sized and spaced apart from neighbors.

Absolutely massive canopy

Other than the OHV noise from some day users, this was a great campsite on our way down from Crater Lake. The site host was MIA, but we were setup for dispersed and it was early in the usable season for the area. Great for families, mountain biking, and fishing off the Rogue River.

Small and friendly - within an hour if Crater Lake

Found this by accident and stayed 2 nights. Close to the teeny town of Prospect OR which has gas and the best general store I've ever been in. About a dozen sites - lots of heavy woods which made for fabulous privacy. No running water - i took a shower the 3rd day at the RV camp just outside of Prospect. Jeff and Wendee were great hosts. Note:Forest Service Road very rutted with sizable potholes.
