Best RV Parks & Resorts near Agness, OR

We didn't stay here, but we checked it out while staying at Beachfront RV across the street.

All sites are full hookup, with 30 and 50 amp power, cable, and wifi. 

There is laundry and free showers on site.  $49/night with monthly and long term rates available.  Your RV must be 10 years or newer, or you can send them a photo if you have a vintage or older RV.

The park is located in the busy port area, with cars driving by, people coming and going to the day use area to go fishing and hang out at the beach, the coast guard station across the street, as well as several restaurants and gift shops in easy walking distance.

Cell reception is good in this area for all 3 carriers.

I specifically chose this campground.

1. It was somewhat close to my upcoming vacation spot in Bandon. 
2. I had to work a ton and needed internet. 
3. The campground has laundry facilities. 
4. Has showers.

—————PROS—————

• The campground hosts (there’s 2) are super friendly and social. Their dogs are super cute too. 
• The campground is within walking distance of the beach and also a lake. We did a lot of nature watching while sitting at the bench by the lake. 
• The campsites are all black-top paved. Take the campsite size to heart. If it’s listed for 21 feet then it’s only 21 feet long.
• The SHOWERS. Each round of shower costs $1.50 for 6 minutes for delightfully hot water and good pressure. The shower rooms are individual rooms outside. There’s two. The one I used has a place to hang your bag, a table to set your wet toiletry bottles on, a chair to put my dry clothes on (or sitting) and a trash can. I cannot emphasize how nice it was to have the trash can in the shower room.
• The women’s bathroom is clean and also has a space heater running. How wonderfully, comfortable.
• The laundry room. We used it a lot. There’s a quarter exchange machine for $1 and $5 bills. There’s a small vending machine with basic laundry cleaning items. The washers I think were $2 and the dryer was 25¢ for 8 minutes. There’s a table where you can fold your laundry and also work on your laptop like I did. The Wi-Fi signal is really good in there. (My speedtest was actually done at my campsite 19.) Bring a cleaning cloth to clean the table as it gets dusty and a wee bit sandy (it’s still a campground). The laundry room also has a space heater.
• Firewood is for purchase for $5.

—————CONS—————

• The dump station was expensive. We didn’t use it. It’s $10 for campers and $30 for non-campers.
• For those that care, there’s virtually no privacy at the campsites. It’s a communal sort of campground. Just be aware. We didn’t mind but there was also only 5 campsites in use.

—————OVERALL—————

4.5-stars - The dump station is the culprit but if you have a small rig, do like a van I saw. Put a bucket under the grey tank valve, collect the grey water and dump it in the dish water drains that are throughout the campground. 👌

I have been camping at Cape Blanco State Park for years. This campground is located on the Southern Oregon coast outside of Port Orford, OR.

The campground does not take reservations and can have low availability during peak summer season. Cabins are available to reserve. The campground has free showers, flush toilets, sinks, firewood for sale, and beach access. The sites have full hookups, fire pits, tables, and very long paved drives. A bikers' camp, group camp, and horse camp are also available.

It is very windy here, but the plants surrounding the sites keep out most of the coastal wind and also provide plenty of privacy from other sites. Be prepared for cold weather and misty air. Dump station is under construction and not open for use right now.

I stayed here over the winter. The staff is great. They have a monthly rate in the winter months. They have tiny homes for rent, propane, laundry, a little store, and sites with hot tubs. The sites all have nice grassy patches, a picnic table, and a fire pit. There is a path to the beach/ocean. It’s a couple of minutes walk from any site there. Ranging from 2 to 5 minutes depending on how far your site is from the path. Everyone is pretty relaxed. Just a few people are permanent residents and I was one of the longest stays for the winter. It’s generally pretty quiet. They have a dog park. It’s a great place. I’d highly recommend it.

This was the best state park we have ever stayed at! It is in high demand, so you have to book out in advance if you'd like to stay multiple nights. We were able to get 2 nights, but had to move sites

We have a 37' travel trailer, and had no problem backing in, and the second night had a pull through site. The sites are spacious with a fire pit and picnic table, and room for a second vehicle. The second night we were closer to the beach entrance which was nice, but the highway traffic was a little loud.

The bathroom facilities were the cleanest I had been in at a state park, and each campground had park hosts who were very helpful and actually clean the sites up for turnaround.

Our favorite part was the private beach, with a creekside that is a little more tame for little children. Would love to come back!

This place has so much potential, and is poorly run. I booked my site 3 weeks prior to arrival, requesting and reserving a deluxe spot. A week before arrival I called to add an additional night, and it was made very clear we HAD to be there before dark, they DO NOT park people after dark.

Enroute to the campground, I was called 3 times! Twice to ask where I was, and once to ask where my family members were that we were camping with. We traveled from 5 hours out, leaving our home at 1:30. I was scolded for being there almost too late and that I COULD NOT park my trailer without the afterhours crew. I asked for my site number, I was hesitantly given it, but not without being reminded that “I COULD NOT park my trailer alone, so it didn’t matter what site I was in”. I was not in the deluxe site I had paid for and reserved, the reply I received was “ yeah, that happens a lot, we move people around all the time”. Upon arrival, the gentleman that parked us was so helpful and kind.

The park is a two sided park. The side with the cabins, yurts and pull through sites is very clean and well managed. The other side of the park is a mix of long term campers, storage sheds, boat/rv storage and weekend campers. Maintenance on this side of the park is not a priority, clearly. The weeds are over grown with glass in the camp site divider. The long term people are questionable and the gentleman parked behind us had cameras on his trailer that faced our campsite! You pay 50 dollars a night to camp here and have to pay to use their showers. There are 2 ways to the water, the first is straight down a steep cliff and the second is behind a gate. So, if you have kayaks, rafts or anything of that nature you have to lug it to the river, never is the gate unlocked.

The icing on the cake was when we went to pay the bill! My husband was told if he used his credit card he would receive a 3% service fee and that our “late fee” for arriving at 7:30pm had been removed. I will never visit this park again.
