Turtle Rock RV Resort
About
We'll show you the grandeur of the Pacific Ocean and the playfulness of the otters in Hunter Creek. Observe eagles, egrets, and graceful cranes at play from the window of your RV or cottage, soothed by the sound of the nearby surf. Winter is dramatic yet tranquil as storms and rainbows collide and tides roll in and out.

Boo
Didn’t have a great time at this rv park.
- I thought the hot tubs were for everyone, nope you must reserve and pay for a special rv space. Serious Bougie stuff.
- They were out of ice so I had to go into town.
- Lots of trash at my site
- Neighborhoods blasted music refused to turn it down, I called the office and they did “it’s not that loud…”
Seriously? Well I don’t want to pay to listen to someone playing Green Day all evening. Boo. After 2 phone calls they said I cold move to a site that looked at the dumpsters. Why would you put the dumpsters right across from sites?
Also realize the closer you are to the beach, the closer you are to the highway 101. Beach access was very nice, but overall I didn’t enjoy my stay and left as soon as I could.
A definite repeat for camping.
We have visited Turtle Rock RV Resort twice and both times it was a very positive experience. Some of the sites are a little close, but if you do your research and reserve a space early, you can get a great space. We love being right on Hunter Creek. A short walk to the beach. A short to the Mexican restaurant next to the campground office. Good food, reasonable prices, and a friendly staff. We attended the annual music festival which is held there and it was great! We always use full hookups so I can't comment on the bathrooms and showers. Campground was clean and they even watered the dirt road to keep the dust down. Staff was very helpful and friendly on the phone and in person. Their web site is easy to use for choosing your space. We plan on return trips often.
Would be a good deal if it was half the price
Ocean is beautiful, short walk through campground to get there. The Rogue River enters the Pacific here, so there are Cormorants, Great Blue Heron, and many gulls and ducks. Unfortunately the campground Is run down, showers have holes in them, fans don’t work and are dirty. Campsites are very close together, and those using hot tubs have little privacy.

Directions
Located just south of Gold Beach on Hwy 101 at Hunter Creek. BIG RIGS may want to take I-5 to Highway 42 at Roseburg to 101 and turn south at Bandon. Drive down the coast to Gold Beach. It takes about 1/2 hour longer, but the roads are better suited for large RVs.
