ScoutPerfect overnight stop for us. Beautiful lake. We were the only ones there, which we loved. Grounds are mowed. Spacious, flat places to park. Our rig is off grid, so we don't need any hookups. Pit toilets are disgusting but we didn't use them. No fire rings. There are some benches to sit and enjoy the solitude next to the lake. Some picnic tables are still usable, but some are falling apart. We would definitely stop here again!

TravelerI've seen quite a few deer, a couple of beaver and armadillos. There are lizards on the trees, plenty of squirrels and various birds. There are a bunch of hawks that fly around and at night the owls talk back and forth. I was fortunate to see butterflies constantly and they kept landing on me and just sit there awhile before flying away.

RangerCampground easy to find and access. The map at office provided was poor quality, map on web site better. Staff was helpful and courtious. Nice campgrounds, some are available for 12 months but those are in their own section. Big disappoint was no bath house, one rest room with a handicap shower. But that restroom near horse corals and smell was present. The lake was nice respite to a hot and long day. The grounds are well manicured, clean and mowed. It's a very large facility but spread out so it does not feel crowded.
TravelerAll the campgrounds at Kaw Lake seem pretty nice. Osage Cove has lots of sites. I picked #12 because it’s in a clearing and good for Starlink. Most other sites are wooded. Facilities are well kept and relatively clean. Pit toilets here. Potable water available at communal spots. Electric and picnic tables at all sites. Starlink worked well, ATT was spotty. Very quiet in April during the week just a few other campers.
GuideGreat campground especially for only $38 a night. Our site was a pull through with water and electric. Nice view of the lake. Staff was very nice. Only negative is don’t follow GPS for directions. It tries to take you down a dead end private road. Stay on Hwy 51 till you see prominent sign for the campground. It’s about 7-8 miles off I35 so very convenient.
RangerThis campsite is large and consists of 3 different loops full of campsites. You can get the wooded Forrest feel and there are open spots as well mixed in the little cliff ledges that lead down to the lake. Great assortment of spots. It is peaceful most of the time but just beware people like to come here with dogs and sometimes tend to be loud and obnoxious.
