    Rocky Point (ft Gibson)

    Beautiful Lake Shore Campground

Ft Gibson Lake near Wagoner Oklahoma offers six class A campgrounds for RV and tent camping, six marinas, multiple boat ramps on 19,990 surface acres of lake with 225 miles of shoreline. Our visit was to Rocky Point COE with a gated/staffed entry station, multiple camp hosts, day use areas, boat ramps, interior paved roads, RV concrete pads, large table, fire ring, grill, lantern holder, 50/30/15 amp electric and water on class A sites plus tent camping sites complete with shelters, tables, fire rings, grills, dispersed water spigots. The campground had a dump station, bath house and several trash receptacles. Most sites were on the water or had a water view and adequately spaced to enjoy the amazing sunrises and sunsets. We enjoyed site 2A which was a level pull through and big rig friendly. The rocky shoreline is a birders paradise...we had an eagle, three Great Blue Herons and plentiful hawks to name a few. The town of Wagoner has all the essentials to include grocery, fuel, dining and yes, Walmart. Verizon cell coverage was 1- 2 bars. The America The Beautiful Senior Pass is good for 50% camping discount. Recommend a look at Google Maps to plan your route into the campground from Oklahoma Hwy 69 as Garmin and Google are a little wacky. Just follow the signs!! 8568 STATE HWY. 251A, Wagoner, OK 74434 GPS- 36.027978,-95.314844

    Tulsa NE-Will Rogers Downs KOA

    Nice clean campground

Spent one night at this campground. Grounds were clean, restrooms and showers were also clean. The check in office was inviting and pleasing. We didn’t use the laundry facility while we were there, but they are available should the need arise. Bathrooms were locked and secure and passcode was required to enter. Passcode was provided upon check in. Our site was a pull through level gravel pad with full hookups. The off leash dog park was a small fenced in area with a couple of benches. Horse track and casino were well within walking distance from the camp sites. Quiet location, just off the highway. Highway could not be heard from inside our camper.

The RV Park at Keystone Lake

    Great New Park

This is a brand new park with full hookups, easy access and easy parking. Streets & parking areas are blacktopped and pretty level. There is a nice, well-stocked convenience store on with ice, firewood, food, propane, a few fishing supplies and gift shop. Park personnel are very friendly & helpful, and there is a nice silo-style pavilion where the owners are going to be adding events & entertainment in the future. A small laundry is across the street from the store.

We paid extra for a premium site with high speed internet WiFi connection, trash pickup & other perks because my husband wanted to stream college football games, and the WiFi was great. Had 50 amp hookup, water & sewer and a gravel parking spot for extra vehicle next to the RV spot. All in all, a great stay.

I enjoyed this place, but couldn’t give it a 5 star review for a couple of reasons. One, there was only one area where a charcoal grill was available, by the pavilion in the center of the park. There were no trash containers or ash cans around there so we had to truck our food & cooking trash back to the rv and had to pour water over the coals & leave the mess in the cooker (which I hated to do). Second reason was the water hookup. My brother in law drove the RV in & hooked it up for us, which was a good thing. The water hookup is under the ground like a water meter location, and both my husband & myself have physical limitations that prevent us from getting on our knees to reach under the ground for hookups. If there was a tall spigot with hose hookup available where you could hook up from a standing position that would make it much easier for old folks like us!

    Crossroads RV Park

    5 stars all around!

I currently stayed at Crossroads RV Park and I have to say it was one of the best tenting experiences I've had in a long time! The park is well-maintained and the sites are spacious and clean.

I specifically appreciated the drive-in access, making it easy to park proper next to my site. One of the things I loved about this campground is that it offers both tent sites and RV sites, making it accessible for all types of campers.

The electric and water hookups were reliable and the sewer hookups made it easy to take care of waste disposal. Plus, the pull-through sites and big rig friendly features were a definite bonus for those with larger vehicles.

The amenities at Crossroads RV Park were also great. The toilets were well-maintained and easily accessible, and there was even WiFi available(although the strength varied). I was pleasantly surprised to find that my Verizon and AT&T signals worked well at the park too. Lastly, I have to mention the friendly and helpful staff.

They were always available to answer questions and provide assistance when needed. Overall, I would highly recommend Crossroads RV Park to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable camping experience.

It's a wonderful place to stay, with a great location and fantastic amenities. I definitely recommend visit this park!

    5 stars all around!

Sequoyah State Park - Marina and Cabins

    Nice campsites!

We had never been to Ft. Gibson Lake so we thought we'd give it a go... and we really enjoyed it. We stayed at Seminole Campground in Sequoyah State Park for two nights at the end of May and had a nice time. The camp host greeted us when we pulled in and gave us the low-down and provided us with maps on the campgrounds and the area.

The campground, was really nice. It was clean, well kept, and quiet. With only one road in and out you'd think the traffic my be kinda bad, but it wasn't. It probably helps that there's not a boat ramp directly in the campgrounds. The sites were spacious and included a nice level concrete pad, a concrete picnic table, a firepit, and a lantern hook. All the sites away from the shore had sewer connections. The ones closest to the water did not, but there's a dump station right outside the campground gate.

Being kayakers we like campgrounds that have easy water access and Seminole campground did not disappoint. The water level was up about 15-20' this particular weekend which made it easy to launch/land and with floating debris due to the water level we pretty much had the lake to ourselves. There are also hiking trails in the area including a paved walking trail.

There's a convenience store a couple of miles away for ice, beverages, etc. It's about 12 miles to the nearest Walmart to pick up those things you forget... we now have dedicated camper pillows.

Since I sometimes need to login to work, I'm always curious about the wifi. While the campground itself doesn't have wifi, I was able to turn on the hotspot feature on my phone and get connected without any problems. We have service through AT&T and didn't have any issues.

The camp host told us that this campground is one of the few that stay open year round so we may be back in the fall for a different view.

    Checotah-Lake Eufaula KOA

    Overnight Stay

We stayed one night in November. Easy on/off, though the service road isn’t in good shape. We were in site 13, closest to the highway along with two cabins and the playground. Extremely noisy so if traffic bothers you request a site towards the back. Lots of trees. Our site was also close to the toilets and showers which were very clean. Shower stalls are private with a door and a curtain but the stalls are very shallow. Don’t leave anything on the floor in the outer area or it will get wet. There is a very shallow bench to put your items on but not meant for sitting. Two hooks to hang your items which is appreciated. No lock on the bathroom door. Pull through 50 amp. We’re towing a 28ft Airstream and it was level enough we didn’t need to unhitch. Listed as a gravel site but more dirt than gravel. Full hook ups, no cable, limited wifi. $44.50 a night. The swing in the playground desperately needs some WD-40, lol. We would overnight here again if needed.

    Tulsa RV Ranch

Don’t recommend if you need amenities

I would not recommend this park. Bathrooms are filthy- trash on the floor, clogged toilet for days, showers have pink mold. We asked if we could use their cleaning supplies and never got a response however the next day someone was “cleaning. I use “” because the trash in the women’s showers, mold, soap scum, hair dye, and general dirt was still there. Toilets and sinks weren’t cleaned properly. We had to use their facilities and paid for a week stay (they offer no refunds) so we were stuck unfortunately. The google reviews are very untrue. Not sure who wrote them but that’s what we went off of. If you have a big rig and don’t need amenities and don’t care about overflowing dumpsters then it’ll be a fine stay. Lot of long term trailers. The kids were nice though and my boys enjoyed playing on the playground with them. We had the only space with a giant puddle upon arriving that never did dry up and then it rained 😅

    Blue Bill Point

    Hidden Gem

We are camping in a 27’ travel trailer in site 13 but there are beautiful tent sites, some right on the water. This particular site is beautiful, shaded, has a lake view, and is within 100 yds of a nice swimming area and a beautiful spot for SUP boards and kayaks. If you have a boat, it can be anchored by the beach. IMO this site was moderately difficult to back in the trailer so if you don’t have good backing skills this isn’t the site for you. There’s a picnic table, fire ring, and charcoal grill on site as well as electric and water- no sewer.
