Perfect for Tents and Good for RV’s

Although we camp in a motor home, this is one of the best tent camping spots I’ve seen. About twenty of the tent spots overlook the cliffs with great views of the water. Sites 97 and 114 sit on the edge of the cliff. This makes these two spots really unique. However, families with young children,…

Close quarters

Campsites are pretty close to each other. In the rustic area a group plugged their extension cord into the bathouse and ran it to their site. Multiple generators running all night long. We moved to the electric side and our neighbors were about 25 feet away and the site flooded in the rain... …

A great weekend of fun!

We went tent camping for the weekend and really enjoyed it! Many tent sites available and rather spacious sites. The beach was full since it was Labor Day weekend, but clean and shallow for kids to easily play. Clean bathrooms and shower houses and lots of places to ride our bikes. A nice place to…

East Harbor State Park

This is a gem of State Park. The sites are clean and flat, plenty of shaded areas for tent campers. Great park to ride bikes and stroll around

Spoiled Diamond in the Rough

I have been coming up to Kelleys Island for 39yrs and this year really tested my happiness. The campground has gone through quite a bit of changes over the last couple years and it's not entirely for the better. We stayed on the water front site directly next to the trail for the public beach. I do…

My favorite State Park so far!

LOVED this park.  There is a great amount of greenery between sites, bathrooms were good.  So much to do you don't have to leave the park:  great bike paths / hiking paths, a lodge with restaurant, cabins, golfing, kayak rental, beaches, tennis, basketball.  Really, almost anything you can think…

THIS is how campgrounds should be!!

This campground is so thoughtfully planned out, it's amazing. Every site is separated by a line of brush/bushes, maybe trees, so that you aren't jammed up against your neighbors. Some sites have shade, some do not, but at least you have shrubbery. The bathrooms were clean and some had doors you…

Amazing Stay

Absolutely loved this island and campground. We were coming home from Michigan early because of the weather but weren’t ready to go home. We found a great site on a Sunday and rented a golf cart for $40! Definitely will be back when we can stay longer!

An RV field

I had to leave early, this place is so crowded and chaotic. The sites with electric hookups are basically one giant, exposed field with no trees. The tent-only non-electric sites are tiny- the size of the parking spot, one picnic table and a 12x12 space for your tent- if that. That's it. I had…

So Much to Do

This park is huge. There is so much to do here, we didn’t leave the park at all! Just a short walk or bike ride to Lake Erie via a paved path. I highly recommend taking a bike, as there are so many trails and paths to ride throughout the park. The marshy swamp area was neat to see, there were…
