Location

Location, location, location! Wow! Right on the ocean, so if you want to be near a wonderful beach.....this is your place. Sites are right next to one another but you expect that. Water, sewer and electric are fine. Bathrooms old but clean. Did I mention location! ✌️

Beatifully kept grounds!

Lovely spot! Quiet and wonderfully kept, freshly mowed and trimmed! The bathrooms were clean and tidy and free of bugs, webs and mess. Showers available - we didn’t partake but hear they are cold! Hatteras lighthouse in sight. Slept to the sound of frogs and birds - wonderful! Highly recommend!!

Primitive Beach Camping

Love this island! No crowds, lots of open beach, and plenty of fish! If you’re looking to camp on the beach and escape the crowds, you’ve found your spot. You need 4WD to get around the island but most of the ferry places have atv rentals. Only accessible by ferry/boat, call a few weeks ahead to…

Beautiful

This campground is absolutely gorgeous and quite the change from the other campgrounds at the OBX. It was quiet and peaceful.

My only two cons are that the shower was icy cold (to be expected) and my second has nothing to do with the campground itself but just the area around. Not that much to do…

Camp on the sand - ORV Permit Required!

Yea, there's definitely no better way to camp. Start your adventure on a ferry, cross an inlet watching all the wildlife play right in front of you, then get off and drive immediately to endless stretches of white sandy beaches. See someone nearby, cool, whatever. Drive somewhere else and set camp.…

Super Large RV Resort

Camp Hatteras RV Resort is incredibly large. You can stay beachfront or you can stay sound front. This is the largest campground we have ever stayed at. And from the sound of it, it is always jampacked.

We selected to stay sound front because we were interested in paddle boarding on the on sound.…

Peaceful

Very quiet, we stayed on the sound side and could hear the waves crashing at night which was very relaxing. Cross the road and there’s a shuffle board and mini golf course. Our 36 ft pull behind fit perfectly on the concrete slab and was level without having to mess with anything. Everyone was…

Clean,Flat and convenient to town

Love this campground. Golf carted all over town. Went down to the Museum Graveyard of the Atlantic! Walked on the beach at the end of Hatteras Island, ate amazing food at Watermans. Bath house was spotless. Other campers were wonderful.

Beautiful Gem on the Atlantic

My family and I spent five days in early December at this gorgeous campground. It was perfect! We arrived late which was no problem with their contactless check in. The rv spots are flat and clearly marked and very easy full hook ups. We pretty much had the place to ourselves due to the season. We…

Feels like home

This campground was basically our summer home growing up! So many good memories! Had the opportunity to bring my husband and kiddos there and it was exactly like I remembered! ❤
