Rivers Edge is a quiet, family-friendly waterfront campground, located on the Bay River, 25 miles east of New Bern, NC and just a short drive to Oriental, NC. Bay River is known for its clean water and abundance of speckled trout, red drum, and flounder as well as many other species of fish and blue crab. With over 700 feet of waterfront, two fishing piers, and a boat ramp, Rivers Edge Family Campground offers campers the availability to enjoy Bay River’s beauty and bounty from the shoreline or by boat, kayak, canoe or whatever water toy you choose. If you’re not a fisherman or boater, our waterfront pavilion with rocking chairs and swings, invites you to just relax and enjoy the river with its beautiful sunrises, sunsets, and occasional dolphin sightings.
Rivers Edge is truly a family campground in eastern NC. Several of our guests have had a permanent campsite since the campground’s opening. Many others return year after year, and quite often several times throughout the season, to enjoy fellowship with friends old and new. You may come as a stranger but will leave as family.
