Beautiful

We had an amazing time! The view of the Sound is incredible, particularly during sunset. You can watch kite surfers during the day. They have their own access point for the Sound. They have bathrooms, laundry machines. My site did not have dumping connections but they do have an On-Site dumping station you can use. It was quiet and peaceful. Would definitely stay again.

Another hidden gem

We only stayed one night passing through on a lighthouse tour of NC. It was quaint and beautiful. Our site was right by the water.

Quiet and spacious

We enjoyed our time here. 4 days/3 nights. Our space had plenty of room, other campers were friendly. And Pam is a gem. She goes above and beyond for the campers.

Perfect spot on the sound

This is our favorite campground. Small, quiet, and everyone is respectful and friendly. The sunsets on the sound can’t be beat and everyone makes you feel like you’re at home.

Very accommodating

Didn’t know it was the weekend of the wind surfing competition, rodanthe in general was booked, called the number she was obviously at home but that didn’t stop her from getting up and meeting us there, we got there and it was just beautiful right on the inlet side but you could see the atlantic from there as well, the sunset is amazing, the park was full but it was quiet the duck pond was pretty and it was home to the ducks, the view of the sunset was an hour of beautiful sunset pictures if you every look at a framed picture of a beautiful sunset that how it was at this camp site for a solid hour i love this spot and will forever go there we tent camped the breeze off the inlet made it perfect at night during the day its wide open no trees or shade suggest bringing something to create shade but otherwise beautiful

Soundfront, smaller, quiet campground

St. Clair Landing Family Campground is a family owned campground in the Outer Banks of NC.  We visited this campground during May and it was quiet and peaceful - with very the regular sound of ducks and windsurfers in the sound.

This campground is soundfront - only a small fence between us and the sound - but both the ocean is walkable from this campground if you prefer!  The shower house was clean, hot water was included and the owner was very friendly!

Our kiddos particularly liked the horseshoes, though were disappointed there were no firepits at this campground.  We were able to get a permit to have a bonfire on the beach so that was a solution.  We missed the campfire at our site - BUT the sunset made up for it!  The sunset over the sound is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen.  This campground would be a good choice in comparison with some of the surrounding - due to the sites being a little larger and the campground being a bit quieter!
