It's worth the time and effort, full of amazing views! Of you have a lightweight or inflatable kayak, take it because the pond is quite large and there's lots to explore," recommends Kaylee C.
Off-season camping for fewer crowds: Visiting campgrounds outside peak holiday periods provides more space and amenities. "We have stayed here a handful of times. This is a great stop when rolling into the Adirondacks. Tons of cute towns nearby and have always used this as a quick stop before heading further into the mountains," advises Eric about Golden Beach Campground.

"Nice campground, but a little cramped, and wasn't a fan of the sandy sites but we did love the area, and the really enjoyed the campground overall. Limited power availability: HTR Adirondacks (formerly Singing Waters) has electrical constraints for larger rigs. "Spent this weekend on a 'full hookup site' in our class A motorhome. We used a surge protector when plugging in to electric. It wasn't long before our power kept kicking off. We contacted the office and a staff member came and advised us that they do not have enough power for all of the campsites they have," reports LL J.
Road conditions for large rigs: Several campgrounds have access roads requiring careful navigation. "We are a 'big rig'. 45 ft Class A with a 16ft tow. This is NOT a place for big rigs," cautions Mark B. about HTR Adirondacks, noting the narrow roads and difficult turns for larger vehicles.
