GETTING HERE West Canada Creek Campground is conveniently located between Syracuse and Albany and just 12 minutes north of Utica, NY — along the beautiful West Canada Creek at the foothills of the Adirondacks. ——— APPROXIMATE DRIVE TIMES • Utica, NY – 12 minutes • Syracuse, NY – 1 hour • Albany, NY – 1 hour 45 minutes • Rochester, NY – 2.5 hours • Buffalo, NY – 3.5 hours • New York City – 4.5 hours • Boston, MA – 4 hours • Montreal, QC – 4.5 hours ——— FROM THE NORTH (Route 12/28 → Poland) Take Route 12/28 South into Barneveld. At the light, turn left onto Route 28 toward Poland. At Route 8, turn left and continue about 0.5 mile. Campground is on the left, just before the bridge. ——— FROM THE SOUTH (Utica) Take Route 12/8 North through Utica. About 4 miles north of Utica, exit onto Route 8 North toward Poland. Continue ~8 miles. Campground is on the left, just before the bridge. ——— FROM THE EAST (Best for Smaller Campers & Cars) Take I-90 (NYS Thruway) to Herkimer Exit (Exit 30). Turn right and follow signs for Route 28 North. After ~16 miles, enter the Village of Poland. Cross the bridge over West Canada Creek — campground is on the right, 75 yards past the bridge. ——— FROM THE EAST (Best for Large Rigs & Motorhomes) Take I-90 to Exit 31 (Utica). Take the ramp to I-790/US-8N/NY-12N toward Watertown. Follow signs for Routes 8 & 12 North. Take the first right after the overpass to continue on Route 8/12 North into Poland. Campground is on the right, 75 yards past the bridge. ——— FROM THE WEST Take I-90 to Exit 31 (Utica). Follow signs for Route 12 North. Merge onto Routes 8 & 12 North. Take the first right after the overpass to continue toward Poland. Cross the bridge — campground is on the right. ———
