GuideIt's no wonder they call this park the Grand Canyon of the East! This is a vast green oasis with grandeur to spare.
Pro's:
- Glen Iris Inn was a treat. It is right next to the middle falls, which to me were like the Niagara Falls' little sister. So spectacular.
- The restrooms on loop 100 were newish and great. All singleton-style restrooms and some with showers.
- Really, just everything. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Con's:
- I heard someone complain about the lack of cell service, but to me this is secretly a Pro! :)
- Oh and having to use ReserveAmerica to book the site was is a bit of nuisance.
TravelerCampground is clean & beautiful. Our site (#165) is right next to the lake. The showers are warm. The toilets are pretty clean. The water spigot closest to us is not working.
TravelerThe staff at check-in were incredibly friendly, sharing with me their favorite hikes and viewpoints. My golden retriever and I settled into our site in the 100 loop which was spacious and clean. The restroom and showers were immaculate. The road running the length of the park was flanked by miles of stone walls constructed by the CCC. All paths were well maintained gravel.

LegendThis campground was a wonderful find! Scouting locations for our Campout event in 2027. Kim the office manager was very accommodating and gave us a tour of the entire property which is vast! Whether you’re planning an event or just looking for a great place to simply camp, this is an excellent choice. Only 21 rv sites and several tent, cabins and 5 or 6 rustic sites with plans for pull-thru expansion for next year. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Peaceful and quiet

GuideStayed here in our Class B. Had a nice site in loop 4. Only complaint really is other guests cranking some kind of contemporary R&B with very loud bass, like we should all like their music. 4 sites away, it was pretty loud. The hiking, the falls were great. Tons to do, spectacular views. The park is 17 miles long folks. Camping is north, the falls are south. You can hike all the way down. Its perhaps one of the most impressive displays of CCC work i have seen. Stone tables, picnic pavilions, walls, steps, just amazing work and maintained nicely. Check is easy, plenty of places for trash, fresh water. Showers were not bad, two per building per gender. Of course i picked one that backed up so i was in standing water. I reported it and 24 hours later it was the same. Oh well it was hot and felt great and i didn’t get hoof and mouth disease or anything. One thing - MAJOR league poison ivy , everywhere, surrounding every campsite. Beware.
