“That’s a nice boulder!” - Donkey

Really cool, smaller state park. Very well kept and clean. Excellent sunset views and stargazing. Be sure to bring something to provide shade if you get a spot on the west side of the loop. The northern sites (15-19) seemed to be more private. Each site had a picnic table, fire pit with grill, and…

Excellent in the basics.

This campground is very well maintained. The restrooms and laundry room are obviously well used but very clean. Their is a dog park, dump station, and air compressor, and dumpsters on site. When it reopens the Quality Inn next door allows guest to use the pool and fitness center. Their is also a…

Beautiful but WINDY

Very unique landscape, great campsites but wow the wind was too much. We had friends go in spring who said it was windy and we went in mid May and it was the same story. If you get lucky and it's not a wind tunnel this place would be amazing. Clean and well-spaced sites. Friendly park staff too.

Clean Quick Stop

This is a solid little campground with 3 (maybe 4?) campsites and few amenities. This campground is a “little” more hidden from the road than other nearby campgrounds. Railroad Canyon Campground has many trails to access the wilderness from, and a small creek running behind each of the three…

Beautiful Campground

Rockhound is one of the best State Parks we’ve ever stayed at. The sites are spacious and really well-kept. The bathroom is spotless. Showers were closed when we were there, due to Covid, but where in the same building as the bathroom and seemed very nice. This park has lovely little walking paths…

For the older travelers

This RV park is fully loaded and easy to locate, but keep in mind is 55+. Has spectacular views and the town of Deming is ultra quaint.

Shabby, looks like for long term residents. Tight spaces. Run down appearance. Off of main road so there is loud car as well as train noise. 55+ age restrictions. Checked it out but would not stay here. No tent sites available.  Has wifi, cable, and laundry. 30 & 50 amp as well as pull through…

Barren but Nice

This park is off of a 4 lane main road so road noise is an issue. Trains and highway noise can also be heard throughout the night. The facilities are clean and well kept. Full hook ups 30/50 amp sites, no tents. Sites are a bit close to your neighbor. Large flat gravel lot typical of RV…

RV park with a campground feel

The Dyrt app shows that the park is at the gas station, but there is a rundown sign on the edge of the lot indicating that the RV park is further down the dirt road (not straight past the gas station but to the right). You register in the gas station for $12/night. Not at all bad for what you get.…
