SaddleHawk Ranch

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Set along open desert terrain outside Deming, SaddleHawk Ranch is a working ranch that takes in overnight campers alongside its resident horses, donkeys, mules, goats, zebus, and chickens. The property functions as an equine safe haven, so the animal activity here is genuine and ongoing, not incidental. Sites have electric and water hookups with 30-amp service available, and the owners have been noted to provide adapters for campers with 50-amp rigs.

Reviewers consistently mention dark skies at night, making the open terrain useful for stargazing once the sun drops. The ranch sits off a highway route, which makes it a practical overnight stop after a long drive. One note on arrival: the entrance can be easy to pass, and the road requires some care when turning a larger rig around. The owners have stepped in to help guests get situated, which several reviewers mention as a standout part of the experience.

"Peaceful desert setting," notes John in his review of an overnight trailer stay. Rates run $22 to $100 per night depending on site type, WiFi is available, and campfires are permitted with firewood on-site. Nearby alternatives include Rockhound State Park Campground to the west and Gap Road BLM Dispersed, Florida Mountains to the southwest. Reservations are available and worth making in advance, particularly if you need a specific hookup configuration.

Truly amazing people !

I booked a stay during a New Mexico snow/ice storm!! I went past the farm by a couple blocks and couldn’t get turned around or backed up. The wife opted to have her husband come get me into place. The farm is full of animals with a beautiful view and great rates. In addition it’s an EQUINE SAFE HAVEN. So if you ever come to visit please leave a little extra cash, They’re doing Gods work here and it truly a blessing to see.

I will be back!

Road Trip Campsite

The animals are cute and the owners are friendly. It’s a quiet place to pull off the highway and spend the night. The night skies are very dark, so it’s perfect for stargazing.
