The Pit Park, Deming NM

We spent a few hours here in our camper and walking around the park. Not very very nice area nice field nice grass nice lake. It's all very good but it does close it about e 8 or 10 PM.no camping.

We stopped here for an over night stop but when we arrived it was hard to tell if it was okay to stay all night. There is a gate on half of the parking lot and a sign that says “park hours are sunrise to sunset”. This is a park with a huge pit with water in it. Looks like it would be a hopping place on hot days of summer. It had cell coverage and picnic shelters. Large grassy area for your dogs to roam around and the parking lot was level. We did not stay I was worried that the sign about park hours. There was another lot that went down to the water. This was a dirt drive and lot. It didn’t have signs perhaps that is a spot that is for the weary traveler. It had a cool area with dinosaur statues I think kids would really like.
