Good spot close to downtown

I stayed here during CDT Days. It’s close to downtown. There’s a grocery store within walking distance as well as a Dairy Queen and a Lottaburger. Very quiet. Hot showers. Full hookups. All for $35/night plus tax

Quiet night

Small but well run campground, perfect for resupply. You might want to go to a laundromat rather than use the onsite laundry. Nighttime was very quiet.

Great for overnight

Very small and tight park. It was basically cheap and cheerful. Used the laundry which wasn’t exciting but it did the job. You can walk to the old town from here. It was $40 for the night which we thought ok. Gravel lots but flat.

Well maintained town park

I think the campground is very nice and convenient to downtown. Full hookups, clean bathrooms and for the summer, nice shade. A lot of local tenants but it was quiet and well cared for with just a few spots coming and foing.

Great spot for a night or two

I stayed here for CDT Days. Great location walking distance to everything. There’s a grocery store around the corner. Super quiet. Woke up to the birds chirping away. Priced fairly and would stay here again.

Cute, Smaller Campground - Fairly priced

This camp ground is conveniently located to Old Town Silver City.

The staff is friendly, the site was clean and level. The bathrooms and showers were clean as well. They were very fairly priced. I booked for one night but may well stay for two.

They have a nice laundry facility. It was a quiet enjoyable stay! I would come back again.

Fun Easy Access to Silver City

We originally reserved one night and stayed 4. This modest little park (fairly priced) is next door to a market, 4 blocks from Silver City’s wonderful old town, and 7 blocks from a great dog park. They have a clean little laundromat, clean bathrooms, and friendly helpful staff. And a small coffee shop. We’ll be back.

Frequently Asked Questions

What amenities are available at Silver City RV Park?

Silver City RV Park offers full hookups for RVs, clean bathrooms and hot showers, and a laundry facility on-site. The park maintains level gravel sites and provides a quiet atmosphere for guests. While the laundromat is described as basic, it's functional for camper needs. The park is well-maintained with friendly, helpful staff available to assist guests. The campground is particularly noted for its convenient location near services rather than for extensive on-site amenities.

Where is Silver City RV Park located in New Mexico?

Silver City RV Park is centrally located in Silver City, New Mexico, just 4 blocks from the charming Old Town district. This prime location puts campers within easy walking distance of downtown attractions, restaurants and shops. The park is also conveniently situated next to a market, about 7 blocks from a dog park, and near other amenities like a Dairy Queen and Lottaburger. Its position makes it an ideal base for both exploring the historic downtown area and using as a resupply point for hikers.

How does Silver City RV Park compare to Silver City KOA?

Silver City RV Park is a smaller, more modest park compared to what you might expect from a KOA. It offers a budget-friendly option with basic amenities (full hookups, clean bathrooms, and laundry) in a central location that's walking distance to downtown. The sites are smaller and closer together, making it less suitable for big rigs. While lacking resort-style amenities typical of KOAs, Silver City RV Park compensates with its excellent location, quieter atmosphere, and lower price point. It's ideal for travelers prioritizing downtown access over extensive on-site facilities.

What are the rates and reservation policies at Silver City RV Park?

Silver City RV Park charges approximately $35-40 per night for full hookup sites, which is considered fairly priced by visitors. The park is flexible with reservations - many campers report booking for one night initially and then extending their stay. While walk-ins may be accommodated, it's advisable to make reservations in advance, especially during busy periods like CDT Days or peak travel seasons. For the most current rates and to secure a spot, contact the campground directly. The park's reasonable pricing and flexibility make it an appealing option for budget-conscious travelers.
