Cute Comfortable Shelter

This is the first time we decided to forgo tent camping and reserve a shelter at a state park. We had a much better experience than we were expecting! The "shelter" is what we would describe as a "cabin"; four walls, a roof, locking door, locking windows, large picture frame front window, four…

It rained the whole weekend, but we still had a great time!

So it rained during set up and it rained during take down. It stopped raining for a bit and we took a nice walk around the campsite, out to the lake and back. Then night fell and so did the rain. Listening to the rain drops fall all night long was a treat. Getting up to move the air mattresses to…

Best campground in NJ!

This is by far my favorite campground in NJ. I have been going here for years now and nothing beats the view (most sites are right on the water).

I can only speak for the south end of the campground (tent sites only) but the sites mostly are large in size. Not the usually square or rectangle…

Great place to Boon Dock!

A well kept State Forest Campground that's ideal for "Boon Docking!" They have water near the office to fill up before you go park. There is NO dump station but there is Delaware Family Campground about 10 miles away to dump if you need to. (It was $25 at the time of this writing)

It's a great…

Not a Resort, despite the name and per night fee.

Some things you should be aware of before booking: The office, playground, dog park, pool, laundry are located at the top of the hill. Camping spots are downhill, a good distance from the office and amenities. Trash is located off site in a pullout on the road you drive in on. There are 2…

Large sites, beautiful views

Form the moment we arrived, the young man at the gate was exceptionally polite. At the store, everyone was wearing a smile. The camp has amazing views, great access to the river and exceptionally clean. The bathrooms were a bit annoying with the “too quick self closing” faucets but I guess they…

Great Little Campground

We left DC and wanted to find something about an hour or so from NYC on our way to Maine and my husband found this little gem of a campground. What a treat! When we checked in they even gave us a riverfront site because someone hadn’t showed up yet. The staff is incredible and bathhouses are so…

Disappointed and Disgusted

This place could have been halfway decent if the people running it showed the slightest bit of interest. The campsites are mostly good. The bathrooms need to be clean and they rarely were, especially when two of the three stalls were covered in vomit. The staff is astoundingly rude, and I’m told…

Just the perfect camping experience!

Easy to reserve, find and stay at the Promised Land State Park, PA.

We went straight to the campsite, saw my name was added at the campsite number so that was reassuring. It was very clean, although there were gravels, we could camp at a little moist area but we had a perfect good night's sleep.…

Basic Campground

We went with a few families and had a nice time. It is very basic and that worked for us.

We were just there for the weekend to sit around the fire and catch up with friends.

They had the bounce pillow and a small pool. It could benefit from some sprucing up.  If I was passing through the area…
