Best Cabin Camping near Jean, NV

This place has all the amenities one could ever need. The bath house was literally the cleanest I have ever seen. The laundry room was just as clean. The spaces are pretty close together, but everyone we met, Staff included, were super friendly and chatty. The pool and hot tub were fantastic and well maintained, there was plenty of activity areas (corn hole, shuffle board etc) and a coy pond with GIANT fish.

Only stayed for two nights for laundry and showers and a break from boondocking…lots of permanent and semi-permanent residents, many with off road vehicles (mostly side by sides) as there appeared to be an off road area and big event going on right near the RV park.

I don’t believe that they have an age limit on RV’s, but the staff at the gate will check your rig to make sure it’s not a hooptie. They cringed a bit at our old Toyota Motorhome, but after looking at it and seeing that it had been restored completely on the inside (we haven’t painted the exterior yet) and had no leaks, they let us stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Gravel roads throughout the park, nice large parking spaces for your rigs, they have a cool community garden which is cool because you can go pick some fresh veggies, a nice enclosed pool area kind a looks like an outside garden with clear windows metal framing but there’s a pool inside with plenty of activities going on such as workouts volleyball etc., they have a community clubhouse, each spot comeWith a slab of cement for Anything you may need it for, and a table full hook ups, shaded areas, and they offer a lot of activities a really good place nice people, and overall a good RV park Also they do have a few cabin rentals if you’d like to stay in that rather than in your RV

Lakeside was highly recommended by a friend as an easy get away to a true oasis...and MAN was it ever. Amazing landscaping and scenery, super friendly staff, lots of convenience nearby, and friendly campers. The complimentary to premium sites paddle board and kayak rentals were closed due to COVID but that is understandable in this environment.

Now onto the invasion. As first I thought I was going to review the fearless ducks and geese who aren't afraid to show up around meal time in the hopes of some vittles. Though they were aggressive, they were never dangerous and have given my kids a few stories they will share for ages. The invasion I have to report on is....ants. Our site was Site #1 and though I thought being close to the dumpsters was super convenient, so did swarms of carpenter ants. We were overwhelmed with how many there were and how fast they found their way around every known barrier and trap we had at our disposal. We stayed our full two days but didn't delay rolling out as soon as possible Sun morning.

So...is the park worth it, absolutely! But do not reserve spot #1 and be cautious of any site hear the dumpsters.

Came back again due to ease and friendliness.

So this place needs a total update for sure. I would have given it a lower grade than I did but they do have some pros… Yes If you are pro dyrt member you get discounts but the spots are nothing special and the roads could be repaved, the lots are rocks and gravel and are decent, the tables look as if they have never been replaced and are all lifting and very unsafe to sit on let alone put a cup on that wouldn’t spill… they are horrible. The reason they got a 3 was that the security is great! This place is in a bad part of town but I must say the security getting in is very well handled and not only do you have a guard and gate you must check-in and it’s literally one way in and out so that safety factor is really neat for families. It’s shaded and doesn’t really offer much, but a place in Las Vegas to try out your RV with a pool and playground for kids. A few different dog walk areas with bags and a trash can.

Here are my star ratings based on my lifestyle and what I like. I'm also a mother, dog mama, and a wife so it's not just me it's my crew and i. 1 star- AUTOMATIC relocate… the property is no longer there, trashed or/and I could never have my children there and I wouldn't ever think about staying no matter what. 2 star- Not really my jam, and would NEVER go to again… It probably more of desert life and not really my style for sure…Being from Vegas I can't stand being in the desert and I love the Trees and the Green more than anything. 3 star- Would stay there again in a pinch, but not really my style, the reason its not is because not enough family things to do, the scenery, or the location… but I would go again and feel safe having my kiddos here but only if I needed to in a pinch. 4 star- a really good rating for sure, maybe needed some improvements, minor things like being on top of each other, not a lot of privacy, but honestly little cosmetic things that aren't anything to sweat and would be back again for sure. 5 star- MY FAVORITE… love the location, safety, the surroundings, big camp spots available to fit toys for my kids to play, hammocks to hang, our big family tent, cases of firewood, our suburban or RV, etcccccc….. I would not only come back but would live if I could!!! Anyway thanks for reading and enjoy every moment like it's your last! CHEERS!

This park has great proximity to Vegas action and is centrally located for day trips around the area. Staff and security are excellent. Layout of the park and sites are extremely small, and amenities are limited. This RV park is a typical thousand trails park. Kind of dumpy, super tight spots, not well maintained, and not in the best area. The spots are packed in tight with very little room to park your vehicle. Our spot was next to a fire hydrant so we had a little extra room to park our truck but we were 1 of 2. The spots are gravel and ours was very hard to get level in even with auto level.. we had SO many leveling blocks under the back. No bench, no fire pit, nothing extra. There was trash at our site, which seemed pretty standard. We barely had cell service the whole time (T-Mobile) and there is no free WiFi, it’s extra. We also had to pay extra for a 50 amp site (which was necessary to run our AC because it was so hot). The pool was very small, not heated, deteriorating, but clean at least. There are 3 laundry facilities and only 4 working washers and 4 working dryers in the whole 200+ spot campground spread out over 3 different buildings. This made for long waits to do any laundry. There is no change machine on site and they offer the wash connect app, but the app can’t find 6/8 machines which is a problem. Lots of trailer park looking trailers with junk, trash, and permanent structures built on. The campground is gated which is nice because it’s not in the best area and they have barbed wire around the whole thing.

Overall, we would stay here again if we had to, because it was free but it is definitely a pretty dumpy campground.

The park is ok. The bathrooms are clean, parking spots are super small. The only thing I really don't like about this Thousand Trails is the location. It doesn't feel safe at all. You can hear gunshots in the middle of the night. I own a converted van and I like to walk or take my electric scooter to run errands. I did not feel comfortable walking about a mile to Walgreens I felt like I was gonna get mugged at any moment.

This is a decent campground, but they pack people in like sardines, and the stalls are very close. Expect that you will have to move your truck occasionally so people can park/leave. They have a pool, spa and a dog area. It is centrally located and eat to get to the strip for some great food and fun.

Quiet and clean, but tight fit for our 40ft IP.  Our spot was on the end and leveling was easy. We did have to unhitch our tow but it still fit right in front our coach. great for overnight for us.

This is a Thousand Trails RV Resort located in the city of Las Vegas. The park is large and the sites are pretty tight. It does fit large rigs, but your neighbors are close, and it is FHU. There are a lot of full-timers at this park. The RV resort is decently maintained and has multiple laundry facilities and restrooms. There is a large heated pool and a nice deck area for relaxing. They have large, fenced dog run that could be cleaner. There is also an office and community room where there is live music and other entertainment during the week. This park does have tiny houses for rent and they are well kept. It is in a decent location, close to shopping and casinos. Downtown Las Vegas is just a couple miles away and a quick drive. The resort is located on busy roads which can be noisy at times. There is a ranger station at the entrance and security. The park had some issues with electricity being rewired and they were currently down 86 spots, but we were told they would be fixed soon. Overall, a nice park and a good stay close to everything.

Park is very clean with a little bit of shade.

Spaces are tight and only 2 pull throughs in the park. No cable, and Wi Fi is pay per day.

Nice park. A lot of campers. Traffic is crazy bad.

This is tight parking, I don't consider this camping but if you got something to do in Vegas it works fine. I took the city bus from the convention center to here very easy.
