GuideThis site has an easy pull off of Blankenship Rd. near Lake Five. Trees and a fire ring. The road was busy until sundown. No toilet. 2 bars and 5G on ATT.

Sun Road was spectacular, great visitor center, easy access to lake McDonald

GuideA nice free spot right off the highway. Has a pit toilet, almost no bugs, nice pine tree shade, good dirt roads. Some trees are very sappy so be wary if setting up a hammock
RangerStayed here for 4th of July with some friends. Campground overall is fine. Big sites for rigs just close together. Have a huge dog park as well as a dump station/water fill up. Also have large laundry room which is nice. 2 bath houses with clean facilities. Also a great location - between Glacier NP & Whitefish. Knocking off a star because picnic tables are stained but not sealed (ruined a pair of sweats sitting on it) and staff was a little rude.

RangerIf you have a small overlanding camper, 4WD, or a text/van, this secluded spot just past the recreation area is STUNNING. 270 views of the reservoir. Pic attached of exact road took past normal “camping” area. There is a huge gravel camping area before this site where large rigs could park. There are also other small sites off the OHV road I am on. Def marked as location to come back to. Pretty loud during the day with riders but privacy and quiet at night. Little walkway down to the beach as well. Absolutely no cell service once you turn off Highway 2 about 6 miles out from sight. Starlink works but is a little spotty.
LegendRight off the Going to the Sun Road which leads into the NP. Arrival was straight forward. Friendly staff. Had a pull trough site that was plenty big for our 32" TT. Utilities were well placed and worked well. Lots of well placed, bear proof trash cans. Laundry room was clean but a bit on the expensive side. Good walking distance into town on the path from the park. We camped at West Glacier RV Park and Cabins in a Travel Trailer.
