Rates at Outback Montana RV Park & Campground run from $18 to $140 per night, with full hookup sites accommodating RVs up to 80 feet. Reservations are available, which matters here, since the park sits just outside Bigfork in a forested setting that draws both overnight travelers and long-term residents. The entrance draws mixed reactions from reviewers, some describing it as rough and cluttered on arrival, so first impressions may not reflect what's inside.
Site spacing is the most consistent complaint across reviews. Sites are stacked close together, and campers with larger rigs report needing leveling jacks. Maneuvering into some spots requires backing uphill between pine trees. That said, the campground stays quiet, and a dry camping area on the property gives dogs room to walk and offers more separation from neighbors. Flathead Lake is roughly a mile on foot, and the park rents kayaks and paddleboards for those who want water access without hauling gear.
WiFi gets high marks. One reviewer found it the strongest signal of their entire season, with AT&T coverage registering two to four bars throughout the park. Cell calls connected reliably. Showers require coins for hot water, a detail worth knowing before you arrive. Wayfarers Unit, Flathead Lake State Park and Flathead Lake Resort are among the nearby alternatives for those who want more elbow room. Book ahead during summer months, when the Flathead Valley sees heavy traffic.
