Spots are tight and the party is next door, but looking to trying again when the music starts up. We were in a small trailer, fit the spot perfectly, but had to park in the glamping spot due to no other room on our spot. Not sure if there were showers, but we were all self contained.

TravelerLocated right alongside the Missouri river and Katy Trail, Coopers Landing is a real unique place. The flood of 2019 really took it's toll on the facility but the new owner is working hard to get it all back together. We've stayed here several times a year since 2015 and it's a perennial favorite. They have live music on an outdoor stage, a small general store and a view of the river you can't get anywhere. Bring your bikes and take a ride on the Katy Trail!
GuideLeaving this magical place today. For anyone wanting to stay be aware they have live music Thursday through Sunday. They wrap everything up by 10pm and it’s very quiet late night. This weekend they had special events everyday related to the Katy trail right next to it. You will have water and electric but no sewer and no dump station on site. Plan your length of stay accordingly. In addition to the live music, food trucks come in and there is a cash bar/store with drinks, snacks, firewood and ice. It’s a very small campground and you are not walled off from the general public. If this is your style of camping you will really enjoy this place. Built in the 70’s on the banks of the Missouri River I had an amazing time. It was like being on vacation from my full time vacation lifestyle. I didn’t grocery shop the whole time.

We camped in a 32' Class C for 7 days during the Miss Missouri Pageant. It's a quite little park with maybe 15-20 sites with electric only. There is potable water and sewer dump on site. So W of the sites could be considered pull through depending if you have a neighbor or not. Some of the camp sites are arranged like a standard parking lot where you back in or pull in nose to nose or bumper to bumper depending on your type of rig. There is a fair amount of shade. The RV park is also the city park so there is a fair amount of traffic in and out during the day but not too bad. There is a playground area, bicycle /walking path as well as public flush toilets and a pavilion. It worked perfectly for our needs.
GuideInteresting spot right on the river. We spent two nights here. Confusion about showers and bathrooms. No showers and no flushable toilets, just out houses. There is a bar at the marina that gets super busy at night with locals. Super busy. There is no buffer or signage keeping bar patrons out of the campsite so we found ourselves being interrupted by foot traffic and questions about our setup. If you are looking for privacy, we suggest looking elsewhere. Staff overall very nice.
GuidePulled into this cozy campground (probably no more than 50 sites) and had a great set up right on the river. We called around 8PM to inquire and then arrived around midnight and paid online. They had a cute stage for what looked like live music and a little tug boat sits in their boat ramp. Loved it here! We did hear there were showers but didn’t use them as we were in a rush to get on the road in the AM!
ScoutSee beautiful scenery on the MO River & Katy Trail. You may get to see a paddleboat cruising the river. Cooper’s has spectacular sunsets, a boat ramp, dock, trails, bonfires, live music, and a very friendly atmosphere.
The Katy trail runs through the edge of the property, offering quick access to trail walking, hiking, and bicycling.
The general store has many options including a wide variety of food and drinks. It also has a small bicycle repair area set up outside.
I highly recommend the delicious Thai food restaurant on site.
Prices are very reasonable.
TravelerThis is a fun spot with a cool vibe. Right on the river, food truck, bar and drinks at the general store, nice people, fire pit and music. There is a nice biking/jogging trail along the river as well. Spaces are tight to get in and out, but otherwise no complaints.
TravelerYou have to drive pretty far off the highway on gravel roads. When we got to the campground the one lane gravel road was packed on both sides with cars parked for an event at the campground. It made it quite difficult to pull a camper up to the campground. There was a party going on with loud music and a lot of college age people. Looked like a good time but not family friendly. The view was beautiful tho!
RangerGreat food and views! I suggest trying the Thai food, but if you aren’t into that they also have BBQ. This is a very relaxing spot and I recommend checking it out. Right next to the Katy Trail and the river, you can bike, boat, or drive there. Don’t forget to stop and look at boathenge!
GuideThis was a nice short notice trip we took. Only downside is it’s near MU, so throughout the day, you get a lot of kids hanging out until the “quiet hours” set in. Next time we’ll bring bikes and hop on the trail.
Also, we caught an AMAZING sunset from our site!
TravelerSuper friendly people. They had gotten flooded out two weeks before I got there so there were a few things being rebuilt. They still offered everything they could to me including an indoor shower and bathrooms. A perfect spot if you want to escape road noise and light pollution and be lulled to sleep by the noise of the river not but eight feet away.

Very relaxed place. Kinda drive in and park anywhere you see a firepit. We had a rooftop tent on the truck and a tent. We camped near the smaller pond. The spot was fine and there wasn’t a ton of tent campers so we had the place to ourselves. The portapotties were gnarly but the toilets/showers behind the office were clean and had hot water. Staff was friendly when we checked in and we bought an armfull of fire wood and they even dropped it off where we parked in their sidebyside but it was damp so we had to scavage some smaller sticks to get the fire hot enough to self sustain. There was a lot of burned cans and some trash in our fire pit when we showed up so we threw it all away before we started our fire. Would stay again but it definitely isn’t a 5 star clean place. Think Ruth from Ozark show.

TravelerThis was the best campground. We stayed over the labor day weekend and the campground was full of activities for the kids. There was a live band and karaoke. The pool was clean and the grounds were very clean and nice. The pond was a great place to relax and watch the kids reel in fish after fish. Everybody was respectful and quiet come night and morning. I recommend this place to anyone.

GuideArrived late, be aware this is a good 5 -10 minutes down a dirt road (after a rainy night it was not pretty pulling my trailer back to the highway). Hook ups where good, considering the remote location not much space between the sites and how large this place is. Did not use the facilities.
GuideWe pulled in here around 10:30pm, and it was a little unclear where to go. There is no after hours check in, and a number handwritten on a sign had no answer when we called. There is no map, Signs are missing, and there is no guidance where to go, or even what number our site was when we found one. It is a beautiful quiet location, and some spaces are spaced appropriately, but the pull through sites were literally on top of each other. There was also a bit of trash. There are porta potties near our campsite, and spaced throughout the grounds, and the next morning we found some showers. Things are old, but cozy. Eventually we found someone to pay for our site.

GuideThere are five tent camp spots located at Lazy Day and we camped on T4 at the very back of the campground. The on site facilities were excellent and clean, and these include a shop (with souvenirs as well as basic necessities and other assorted items), showers, and bathrooms. The T4 spot is pretty well isolated near the back and is right next to the trail that goes to one of the two fishing ponds on site. In addition to the trail leading to the back pond, there is another short trail that cuts through the woods on the south side of the camp. Despite the large size of the campground (about 65 RV spots) the noise level was fine and we went undisturbed while sleeping.
