Beautiful lake with nice facilities

Lake Jeff Davis is a beautiful lake. It has a nice boat ramp and a few nice piers for fishing. There are not a lot of camper sites, but they do offer water and electricity. The sites are close together.

Beautiful lakefront campground

Paid $15 senior rate. Electric & water on site. Camped in our camper van on site #8. Large site on long paved driveway, kind of by itself away from lake. Big trees at site, beautiful sound of birds in the morning. A little used, unmaintained nature trail next to site. Restroom/shower house nearby; clean but could use some paint. Lake popular for fishing. Fishing pier in park. Other campers quiet & respectful.

Beautiful peaceful gem on the Longleaf Trace

I initially chose this place because it was convenient and accessed the Longleaf Trace, a Rails to Trail Hall of fame trail. I was delighted to see this is a beautiful place to stay. It’s a small campground but the campsites are well spaced apart so you have a lot of room to yourself. It’s so quiet and nice to have an on-site manager who I saw out helping visitors to the park. I am told it’s a bass fishing lake. They sell the fishing licenses here on site so that’s very convenient.
