There's an inn, restaurant, cabins, boat rentals, horseback riding, bike trails, beach, toboggan run, etc. Tons of picnic areas and pavilions; would be a great spot for a family reunion," explains Amy K. about Pokagon State Park Campground.
Special events: Many campgrounds schedule family activities during peak season. "Twin Mills is a really beautiful and quiet RV Campground, with tall trees in Northern Indiana. The playgrounds seemed to be in good shape and the dumpsters were centrally located. There is a large pool area and basketball court," notes Laura H.

Hookup locations: Site utility placement varies between campgrounds. Shipshewana North Park Campground offers several hookup options. "The utilities were in the center, which made it nice to dump our two black tanks in order to go to the Brinkley Service Center the next morning. Water pressure was good at about 50 psi," explains MickandKarla W.
Local RV services: The area's strong RV industry presence means excellent repair services. "We came to Elkhart for a week to have servicing done on our 5th wheel. The campground was easy to find and pull into just a short drive off the highway," notes MickandKarla W. about Elkhart Campground.
Site leveling challenges: Some campgrounds require additional equipment for proper leveling. "Site needed leveling, had no shade at all and was close to major hwy.
