Dune Lake Campground

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Reservations are available at Dune Lake Campground, which runs from late April through October 1 and features electric and water hookups, a dump station, showers, and a swimable pond on site. Key pickup is handled through an automated box, so arrival time is flexible. One practical note worth knowing before booking: only sites in the front half of the campground have dedicated hookups. Campers assigned to rear sites may find a shared electric post serving multiple neighbors and a water spigot located across the road.

The campground draws a family-oriented crowd, and the layout gives it a low-key atmosphere most weekends. Sites are well-spaced and wooded, with a mix of more secluded spots and those closer to shared activity areas. Kids have access to a putt-putt course and play areas, and the pond has a shallow section suited to younger swimmers. Sand dunes at the back of the property are open for exploring on foot.

Landon C. sums up the bathhouse accurately: "Showers are old but they keep them clean and they have plenty of warm water." Firewood is delivered to the site after a text request and charged to the card on file. Pets are welcome. Nearby, Covert Township Park, Beach and Campground and Covert Park provide additional options for groups needing more space. Campers who want to explore camping near Covert will find several sites within a short drive.

Great little campground

Lots of wooded lots, little lake for kiddos to play in and a small playground. most sites are easy to pull into, the tall trees stop most of the wind. Mosquitos can be bad at times recommended a bug tent. Small Lake Michigan beach within a quick drive about 5-10 min. U- pick them blueberry patch’s are around when in season. Overall great stay and a good place just to relax and unwind.

Beautiful campsite and good service

This is a beautiful campsite with lots of good nature around. The primitive sites are the best in the area but the partial hookup sites are also beautiful. The dunes in the back are fun to explore and the pond is great to swim in. Lots of families here so there aren’t many loud parties going on.

The only annoying thing was that my reservation and the map itself said my campsite had water and electricity hookups, but when I got here I realized that there is a single electric post shared by 4 campsites and the water spigot was across the road and I couldn’t access it. Only the sites towards the front half of the campground have dedicated water and electricity.

They’ll bring you firewood within a few minutes of texting them and they charge it to your credit card on file. The key pickup is through an automated box so you can arrive any time you need. Great service! Showers are old but they keep them clean and they have plenty of warm water. Love this place.

Very low key good place for kids and adults

Visited twice. Once with kids once without. Medium amount of activities for kids. Very nice people. Fire wood is super reasonable and is delivered to the site. Mix of secluded and populated sites. Great place. Will be going back.

Great little camp ground

We showed up without a reservation, we were quickly met by the host family (so so sweet) they got us a spot and we're so helpful!

Even helped me guide my new trailer in.

They have play areas and a cute putt putt course for the kids. Clean bath house, very clean!

So happy we stopped here!

Awesome family fun!

Loss of spacious sites! We went on Memorial Day weekend and it was packed but we never felt crowded. Plenty of trees too!
