Memorial day trip

I am glad I didnt listen to the negative comments I read! This is a quiet and beautiful campground, we were treated very kindly! No complaints except wish there was more to do while we were here. I understand that new owners have taken over in April of this year. They are working on many things! We…

Great campground, will return

This is a beautifully kept campground just outside Michigan City, IN. It is gated so will need to call in once you arrive to enter. We stayed  in the premium sites which were 90ft pull thought with 50A service, water and sewer, and the best wifi I have seen at a campsite. The cement patio was large…

Beautiful Indians Dunes National Park

We spent one night at Indians Dunes National Park and we love this campground. Lots of room for our 15’ Ford F-150 and 19’4” travel trailer. Our campsite was Dunewood Campground, Mather loop, site #1.

Big Rig Friendly

The is a great place to stay. All concrete, gated, beach in a small lake, basketball court, fishing, pools, and lots of grass for the dogs. Laundry rooms and bathrooms spotless.

Good place to stop after getting past (or before) Chicago and Gary

A fine campground, but you can hear the highway and commuter trains pass by regularly. Private property abuts the campground. Good in a pinch, but the nearby state park campground might be a better option. Also, reservations are required (we pulled in at 10:45, not knowing and managed to grab a…

Site 67 Douglas Loop

Site 67 is one of the walk in sites, but it was very private. Only one other site was visible, so we set up our tents between us and felt like the only people there. It was great. The walk in distance wasn't bad at all. The bathroom facilities were very clean. The sky was beautiful, and the…

Camping with the doggos

Bathroom facilities were good. Reasonably clean and well maintained. The hike to the beach was fun and not far at all. The dogs loved it. Camp sites are decent sized.

Great location

Nice spot, basic but clean. The Pin Oak trees were abundant for hammocks but a little worrisome with the wind advisory. Train tracks are quite close so light sleepers may be woken by the sound, Beverly Shores train depot very convenient if coming or going to Chicago. A quick bike ride to the the…

Good for families!

Nice layout and easy access to camp amenities made this weekend trip away from home a relaxing one. Though early in the season, the campground was busy. Beautiful state park scenery.

Awesome new owners

Went to the campground for the first time. Had an awesome view right on the lake. Loved how friendly the new owners were. We will definitely be back for another relaxing weekend soon.

Interesting State Park

Arrival was interesting. We followed the signs to the campground (CG) area and bypassed the park office for the gate, as there was no where to park towing a rig. At the gate we found out we should have just pulled over on the road and registered before getting to the gate. We did not see any signs…
