The property is a modest 20 acre homestead located in Damascus, MD with 12 acres of woodland and a creek! Camping here also allows you access to the farm with friendly chickens, ducks, turkeys, pigs, cows, horses, sheep, goats, giant rabbits, cats, and dogs! If you enjoy farming, gardening, pastures, trees, creeks, natural springs, cabins or just hiding out in the woods; there's a great chance you will enjoy camping at our place. Pitch your tent anywhere in the woods or in a field or stay in the cabin equipped with a wood stove. We have trails wide enough to drive down so parking and set up is easy. Both campsites and RV sites are self contained. No electric or water hook ups and no restrooms yet (coming soon); so bring a composting unit if you wish.

Serene, safe and well maintained 2 acre property in the Blue Ridge Mountains with multiple camping and RV sites available for short-long term rentals above famous Harpers Ferry. Paved road access to property. 10 minutes from the Shenandoah and Potomac rivers, Appalachian Trail, breweries, wineries, pristine wilderness and some of the East Coast's best fishing and hunting. 5-10 mins easy and quick access to Maryland, Pennsylvania, DC and Virginia. Lovely property with gardens, chickens, sheltering trees, traditional smokehouse and sauna and well-maintained home and outbuildings. 1 non aggressive dog allowed on leash at all times. 1 horse allowed.

Tent camping and RV rental available. 1 tent space included with RV site rental. Water and 110v electricity hook up available. No sewer but dump station 7 mins away. Wood burning sauna and traditional woodfired smokehouse available for use for an additional fee. Firepit and 16' canoe included in rental. Multiple flat areas to park and camp. Firewood, farm fresh eggs and seasonal produce available for purchase. Great for families, couples and solo travelers.

Sites marked as "walk in" mean the walk is one minute to camp site.

Shannondale Gate - Harpers Ferry West Virginia

Beautiful spot on the Shenandoah River… You will see eagles, deer, ospreys, beaver and numerous other critters. Great fishing, boating and swimming not to mention the views. Lots of local cuisine and pubs. Flea markets and BBQ on the roadside and for those who dare the casino and horse racing!!!

We have kayaks, canoes and tubes available for rent. Fishing and flat water paddling from property and shuttle pickup. Water available. Fantastic views of wildlife!



Shenandoah Adventures

ALERT: Greenbelt Park Campground will be closing on Monday, July 15, 2019, due to road paving and campground improvement projects. The campground will reopen in early 2020.

Need wide-open space to unwind while enjoying some locally crafted wine and beer? We've got you! Our farm has 30 private acres of open fields, rolling terrain, wooded areas, and a running stream for wading and exploring. We are a scenic and easy 10 min drive from I-70 New Market, MD. Hang out with family and friends at your private campsite or enjoy music and libations at one of the many local wineries/breweries- most have weekend music festivals and food trucks during spring, summer, and fall months. Located in walking distance(1 mile) to Linganore Winery and Red Shedman Brewery, we are centrally located to eight other wineries and breweries that are an easy ten minute drive through scenic Frederick County farmland. Hiking more your thing? The Appalachian Trail is a mere 30 min drive and the historic C&O Canal(great for biking, jogging, hiking, and horseback riding) is a 30 min drive as well. Kayaking, tubing, rafting, and horseback riding are available in historic Harper's Ferry(35 mins) too. While there, you can check out the local shops, the C&O canal, hiking trails, and a self-guided tour of John Brown's Raid. There are plenty of local creameries(working dairy farms selling homemade ice cream, cheeses, and more) and farmer's markets for fresh farm to table fruits, veggies, and meats. Fine dining, history, and quaint antique stores more your thing? We've got you there too! Historic Mount Airy(10 mins) has lots of specialty shops and some farm to table restaurants, New Market(10 mins) has a plethora of quaint antiques stores, and Frederick(20 mins) has lots and lots of speciality shops and farm to table restaurants. Take a walk back in time with us when agriculture and farming reigned supreme!

Camp Winery

The Adventure Park at Sandy Spring is Maryland's biggest climbing and ziplining adventure!

We have 5 campsites on site. Please note, these campsites are only available for scout troops and youth groups who are also taking part in park activities.

Mile 16.6 - No fee charged. Stay is limited to one night per site, per trip. All sites have a chemical toilet, water, a picnic table, and grill. Please Note: Potable water may not be available at each campsite. Water is treated with iodine. Please plan to have water purification tablets with you. Water is turned off from November 15 to April 15 each year.

Swains Lock Hiker-biker Overnight (hbo) Campsite
