Great stay!

Stayed for Memorial weekend. Stay was friendly and the local sites were plentiful.

Nice family campground minutes from Bar Harbor

Nice family campground with friendly staff. The heated pool was perfect. Most sites including ours was surrounded by trees and open in the front for a nice combinations of sun and shade. Plenty of open sites for groups to camp together.

It’s beautiful and quiet here

Even though the sites are close together, it’s quiet. There is a small beach at the lake where you can swim and kayak (for rent). People at the office are very nice, polite and accommodating. Good cell reception.

Quant with awesome views

This is a great quant campground. It was built back in the 50’s but there are plenty of sites for those of us with large campers. The sites are right on the lake with gorgeous views. Some sites even have their own pier to sit out on and fish or swim from or simply watch nature. They rent kayaks and…

Overall, a great choice!

This is a national park campsite. First impressions, really good!

When you enter you pass by a ranger booth to register, etc. Definitely grab the campground map! Why? Because you are given a free handful of wood and the map will show you where to pick it up. We didn’t realize until later and…

Great beach to explore!

If Acadia is full... this state park is a great alternative! My favorite part is the beach!! And 30 mins from Acadia. The sites are ok. A lot on a hill... so level tent camping isn’t the best but mostly private sites. Quick walk to a beautiful beach with lots of rocks and shells to comb…

Cant beat the location

We stayed here because we were visiting Acadia. Duh. We hardly spent any time at the campsite. But it has everything needed for an enjoyable stay. It has a dump and water fill station at the front of the campground. The sites aren’t very private but it didn’t matter to us here. The bathrooms only…

Very nice location, nice campground

Showers rooms are every other for social distance are clean and like bathrooms cleaned daily. It is a great convenience to Acadia Nat’l Park. Water edged sites do not have sewer hook ups as most don’t for environmental reasons. I would gladly stay here again. The W/E/S operated as they should.

So peaceful and relaxing!

We visited this campground in May 2021. The sites were clean and the owners very friendly and helpful. The ocean view was beautiful! Picnic tables and several chairs and benches to sit and watch the ocean scenery - porpoises and seals and the sunrise was amazing! There was also a cute wooden swing…

O.K. campground, great water views.

There is not much to say about this campground. We wanted to love it because of its waterfront location in mid-coast Maine but just couldn’t do it. The campground is located in S. Thomaston which is a great location and beautiful area. The access to water and views are really pretty spectacular but…

O.k. park, great area.

This campground is so-so but the Camden area of Maine is really pretty with a beautiful harbor, lots of paddling opportunities, and good hiking. This campground is fairly small with a few amenities like a swimming pool, clubhouse, volleyball and basketball courts. The pool is pretty small with some…

Nice campground with a variety of sites to accommodate all.

Boothbay Harbor is a cute coastal Maine town and Shore Hills Campground is a great location for visiting the downtown and other Maine towns like Wiscasset and Easy Boothbay. Shore Hills has a wide variety of sites that can accommodate everything from the biggest size RV to tents. The great thing…

Not my first choice

Getting into the campground and registering for our site took over an hour. The boat launch... If that's what you want to call it, was not well maintained (crumbling concrete, at a weird angle. Not good for deep hulled boats. The bathrooms weren't bad and the pool was excellent but the not tubs…
