Quiet and nice

Clean, orderly and peaceful. Great campground for small rigs, pull behinds, vans and tents. Water view sites are very limited so book ahead. Sites 12 and 10 offer good water views. Other sites range from secluded to close. A very quiet and peaceful rocky beach is found down a nice path with two…

Quiet campsite in Acadia

Located in Acadia, this site is near Acadia and easy driving to some of the main activities. Sites are private in wooded area and pretty level. The bathrooms were quite far away and there were no showers or dishwashing facilities. There is a place you can shower located just outside the campgrounds…

Tent Sites with Excellent Views

Spent 2 nights here and loved every minute of it. From the amazing sunsets, to the nice tent sites, Bar Harbor KOA impressed us. Quick check-in, free delivery for firewood, hot water for showering.

Peaceful and Relaxing Trip

If you are looking for pools and activities this is not the place for you. This is a no frills campground and is absolutely wonderful. It is quiet and so peaceful. We stayed is site U1 which was fantastic. Last site on the deadend road and was very secluded. We loved our stay!!!!

Labor Day Weekend

Quick walk to bathrooms & showers, which are very clean. Held lots of activities over the weekend, busy crowd. Got a nice secluded tent space.

Waterfront and premium spots are beautiful. I would not want to stay in a regular RV spot as there are no trees or privacy.

Perfect Ocean Campground

This is a great little campground, that goes the extra mile in everything they do. From an effortless check in to free delivery of everything from coffee to firewood to cooked lobsters. Looking forward to heading back next year

Gorgeous Campground

Of course there is no plug ins or anything but it was an amazing campground. So close to everything- bar harbor, the ocean, sand beach, it’s all just a 20 min drive. Loved the walking path with views of the ocean. Definitely one of my favorite places to camp!

Spectacular Seawall - Known & loved throughout the NPS system

Famous Seawall Campground is divided into four loops. I can only review loops A & B where I have stayed…although I did look quickly at loop C which has a parking lot configuration and doesn’t have the character of loops A & B which are in the woods. Stay at Seawall if you can possibly…

Clean, well-managed with friendly rangers- decent showers

Lamoine State Park represents the way most Maine state parks should operate. Way ahead of both Camden Hills and Cobscook with regard to cleanliness and upkeep. Showers were surprisingly good and often cleaned.

There are two non-reservable sites right on the Bay--- do try for one of those when…

  • Sunset on Frenchman's Bay - Lamoine State Park
  • Boats at Lamoine St. Park Bayfront
  • Tent at site # 57 Lamoine
State Park. Site faces the bay directly.

Book elsewhere

This campground was close to Acadia and Bar Harbor - but this campground had very uneven sites - our jack was fully extended in order to get us level. The camp store closed very early - 6 pm. Shower houses were extremely tight and very run down. The water was from a well and came out rusty colored.…
