With over 30 state parks, the first national park east of the Mississippi, and, depending on the way you hike it, either the beginning or the end of the 2181 miles of the Appalachian Trail, Maine has a little something to offer even the greenest camper among us.


Southern Maine is a typically more crowded area. The water is a bit warmer than Maine’s northern beaches, and the beaches typically less rocky. For those looking for a break from the surf, there are shopping outlets, mini golf courses, and numerous spots to grab some fresh lobster. Old Orchard Beach has long been a New England summer tradition; trading quiet camping for go-kart races and thrilling rides, this area is chock full of summer fun. Looking to escape the crowds while camping in southern Maine? Head inland to kayak and camp along the Saco River, as it carves its way from New Hampshire’s White Mountains through to the Atlantic. 


Most campers head to the ocean come summer, so you’ll find solitude amongst the trees, lakes and rivers of inland Maine. Moosehead Lake has some of the best camping in Maine, with numerous lakeside camp spots and deserted beaches off of one of the lake’s dozens of tiny islands. Bring your own canoe, or rent one, and spend the day leisurely paddling alongside loons and other waterfowl; if you’re quiet, you might even happen upon a moose. There are a number of campgrounds to choose from, and many offer secluded lakefront sites. If you are looking to stretch your legs and gain some altitude, head to nearby Baxter State Park. Hiking Maine’s highest peak, Mount Katahdin, is an intense hike that’ll reward you with unparalleled views over Maine’s seemingly endless backcountry. Fair warning: this hike isn’t for children (in fact, no children under six are allowed above the treeline anywhere in Baxter State Park). Nor is it for the faint of heart: its ridgeline is sheer, dropping off some 5,000 feet into Maine’s ancient wilderness below.


Downeast Maine is a remote area that has some of the most beautiful coastline in the world, and some of the most beautiful camping in Maine. Iconic lighthouses, piles of fresh lobster, and seaside hikes that rival inland Maine’s rugged peaks, exploring this area is a must. With Portland, Bangor, and small coastal towns like Bar Harbor, Kennebunkport and Freeport, there are no shortages of places to explore. Our favorite downeast adventure? Camp in Acadia, where you can hike to the top of Cadillac Mountain and watch as the sun sets over the rugged atlantic coastline. For those early risers, catching the sunrise from October to March means you’re catching the first of the sun as it rises over the US.

Four acre lakeside property located in gorgeous Midcoast Maine. Woods, water, and friendly goats all near town and nearby tourist destinations. We are a small scale dairy and family farm project.

Site 1. One room cabin with full size bed near goat barn.

Site 2. Is a camping platform in the woods near the cemetery.

Site 3. Is a 30 amp RV hook up.

Outside there is a composting toilet, potable water faucet, solar shower, fire pit and Piro wood fire oven.

We are open weekends only over the winter with reduced rates and amenities. RVs feel free to email about longer stays. The cabin isn’t heated and the shower and outside faucet are turned off. Please inquire with questions about our faculties.

Shared Washer Dryer, fridge and bathroom available in nearby house. Kayaks available for use by campers. We serve breakfast daily. The farm has a herd of friendly Nigerian Goats who sometimes range on the property. Near historic Bath and Brunswick, Maine with access to restaurants, shopping, recreational dispensaries, movie theaters, Bowdoin College, sports facilities, public boat ramps, and a wide range of entertainment options.



Rainbow Koala Farm

Tiny Cabins of Maine is on 100 acres of wooded land on a 25 acre pond. On the property are two tiny cabins (Roxie and Maybelle) and one tent site. Each cabin is fully insulated and has a tiny wood stove to make it comfortable all 4 seasons!

Each cabin has a comfortable fully sized bed, a mini woodstove, a composting toilet, kitchen essentials, an outside firepit, and plenty of wood. The tent site is a clearing in the woods with a popup tented porta-potty, and a firepit.

2 kayaks, a yak board, 2 paddleboards and a canoe are at the dock for guests to use. There is an outside Pizzeria with a woodfired pizza oven and table for two, an axe throwing target with 6 axes and directions to play as well as a clearing by the water called the Pub. There, guests can sit at a high top table, relax in a hammock, play corn hole or have a fire in the chimenea. There are currently about 1.5 miles of trails cleared, with more added each week!

The pond is surrounded by wooded area and it feels remote but road noise can still be heard.









Tiny Cabins of Maine

"Red," our friendly chicken, looks forward to greeting you while you gently hold her. Of course, Denali, our farm hound, will say HI too. The sheep, pigs, and other chickens will also enjoy seeing you.



Our farm cabin has a great feel of being connected to nature. It is quiet, cozy and a wonderful place to watch the sunset overlooking grazing animals. The cabin has a queen bed in the downstair bedroom and another double bed in the loft. The couch in the sitting room also folds-out to a double bed for the children. We use high-quality cotton sheets, pillows and down comforters - to assure you will be cozy and feel pampered.



We provide coffee/tea service in the morning in our farm store. By reservation, we serve a full country breakfast ($14/pp) and four-course farm-to-table dinners with many ingredients from our farm ($50/pp).



By reservation, we also offer a special evening of our own chef-made wood-fired pizza, backyard fire and Downeast company. Many of the ingredients are from our farm. BOYB. ($50/pp; groups of 4 or more $40/pp) Discounts for families with children.



The cabin does not have heat, electricity or running water. We provide numerous battery-charged lights and candles making this a is cozy, relaxing and perfect way to experience Maine & farm life. An outhouse is nearby. We provide an outdoor hot-water shower.



Plan to visit our farm store where you can buy goat-milk soap, beeswax candles, organic wool pillows, sheep and goat skins and other creations made by Patti.



Loads of hiking trails are right out our door or wander down the gravel road.



Visiting the animals (sheep, pigs, chickens and, of course, Denali - the farm hound) is always a highlight for guests. Please leave your own dog at home, thank you.

Barred Owl Farm

Hey, Friends! We are a working farm, so we do have animals on site, and a Braying cute white mini donkey! if you're an animal lover we would love to give you a tour!   We have 50 acres of woods for you to explore or our riding trail, which is a couple mile hike.  We are just a short 3 mile drive to Damariscotta Lake Park where you can swim, picnic, or enjoy a sweet ice cream at the Jefferson Scoop!  Head to the town of Damariscotta and you can find Kayak rentals, quaint bars and restaurants or join one of the many river cruises!
Just 40 minutes you can find Pemaquid park which has an awesome lighthouse. Boothbay Harbor or Rockland have some amazing Lobster or seafood. 2hrs from Acadia National park! Join a whale watch, try some Disc golf!
We can hook you up with the best sights, just let us know what you want to see or do and we are more than happy to point you to it! If you would rather stay in and enjoy the scenery and a good book that is ok too! The beds are heavy duty camping air mattresses, with batteries if you need more or less. They do NOT come with bedding. If you need bedding you can add that as an extra. We find most campers like to bring their own. :)

The days are getting warmer, and now is a great time to camp! Two queen size bunk beds can hold 4, Rent the extra tent or bring your own up to 10 people. $20 each person over 4!   Sit back and relax at our Maine campsite, this site is set off from the road to give it plenty of privacy, there is a short 5 min walk from where you park to the site. If you need help, give us a shout and we can try to coordinate to meet you.  We are located a bit over an hour to Portland and 22 mins from Damariscotta and the beautiful Maine coast! Nestled in the woods, a great place to enjoy nature but close enough to enjoy many of the tourist attractions that Maine has to offer. Farmers markets, craft breweries. This site has upgrades! If you use the dishes put them back clean for the next campers.

Tentrr Signature Site - Journeys End Field of Dreams Camping Adventure!

Continuous Harmony Farm is located on the north side of Camden Hills State Park. When this area was originally settled, the farm was located on the "highway" from Camden to seasonal pastures in Lincolnville. The trails leading to the park still go by the old foundations that dotted the old Government Road from Camden. The farm has 46 acres of flowing pasture, hardwood forest and flower and vegetable gardens. At the heart of the property is a large farm pond that has been used to water livestock for generations. We hope you can visit us soon!

Our farm abuts Camden Hills State Park, offering dozens of miles of trails for hiking and biking. Farm activities include looking after our flock of Katahdin sheep, laying hens, bee hives and vegetable and flower gardens. With many hiking trails nearby, this site will satisfy the campers looking to burn off a little energy and explore the local culture. Bog Brook Trailhead, Whitten Hill Preserve Trailhead, and Lake St. George are all located near the town of Montville, Maine. 

Other towns such as Belfast, Liberty, and Waterville are all located within 40 minutes from this campsite.

Tentrr Signature Site - Brookside Haven

A gorgeous, extremely secluded campsite with a beautiful view of fields and hills. You can hike around our 400 acres, including majestic pine stands, natural sand dunes and a couple of small streams.

The site is almost a mile from the road via a mowed path through fields and old pastures, very quiet and peaceful.  4WD is a good idea, we have no problem getting to the site in a Forester.

There's a small section of pine trees which provide a nice shady hangout area. Go exploring! The site is also close to tons of lakes, a large river, and great restaurants all within less than a half hour drive. Visit the Farmers Market on Saturday's and climb Mount Pisgah only a 15 minute drive away. Within a 20 minutes you will find great areas for hiking such as Gott Pasture Preserve Trailhead and Androscoggin Riverlands State Park. Experience the rest of what Wayne and Central Maine has to offer!

We are new at this and are looking to offer amenities to make our campers experiences as positive as we can, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Just ask!

Join us on 43 wooded acres on Sandy Pond! Our enchanted cabin is located in the middle of the property next to a three season stream under a blanket of old growth Hemlock, Birch, and Maple. A .4 mile hike (10-15 minutes) from the cabin site through untouched forest puts you at the private shore of beautiful 420 acre Sandy Pond where you can enjoy kayak and canoeing, swimming, fishing for wide mouth bass, or relaxing on a floatie! Hike the 43 acres of streams and wooded hills, hemlock and hardwood forests and even a hidden swamp full of cattails! Fall asleep listening to the loons! (Forest hideaway site does not overlook the pond)  Parking for one vehicle next to campsite! 

Around the corner is the famous Lost Kitchen Restaurant. Just down the road is the Hills to Sea hiking trail which spans from Unity to Belfast. Camp is located only 11 minutes from the Common Ground Fair and 24 minutes from Belfast waterfront. The Space:
Forest hideaway cabin next to a three season stream and a .4 mile hike through untouched forest to beautiful 420 acre Sandy Pond! 

Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! 

Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen-size bunk bed with air mattresses (see photos for the exact setup). The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that___s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. 

Group Camping: We welcome campers with larger parties, but the standard Tentrr setup only includes the canvas tent plus the additional pop-up dome tent. You may need and are encouraged to bring additional camping gear of your own if you plan on camping with a large party. 

Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. You may have as many campers in your party up to the maximum limit that is set for the listing, but please note that the only bed provided as a standard amenity is the one set up inside the canvas tent. 

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property. 

If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper___s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

Reservation Modifications/Cancellations: Please note the terms of the cancelation policy as they are outlined in your reservation confirmation on Airbnb. If you need to cancel or modify your reservation, please reach out to Tentrr Customer Support. Your CampKeeper is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf. Other Things to Note:
Do find the sitting rock on the pond! Fires in designated areas only. No hiking after sunset unless with a guide. Please leave pond 30 minutes before sunset, the forest gets dark fast. Please note that the forest here is real and untouched with old growth trees!  The terrain is not manicured or park like. The hike to the pond can be muddy in places and is quite hilly but totally worth the effort!  Camp Includes: Camp Shower, camp toilet, two queen bunk beds with a real mattress on the bottom bunk and an air mattresses on the top bunk in the cabin, propane cook stove, propane,  bowls and silverware,  5 gallons of non-potable wash water.  Please bring potable water, bedding, pillows, camp fire wood, pots or pans etc.

Tentrr Signature Site - Ohana Roots Camp at Sandy Pond, Forest Hideaway Site

A cozy 1.4 acre of fairly wooded land located North of the town of Jay off East Dixfield Road (Route 17). When you first pull in there's a beige 30' camper and a few cars parked to the left on the dirt road that leads up to a main area where there's a brown cabin and dark blue bus.

Camping is available anywhere on the property but just a fair warning the neighbors to the left of the rock wall can be noisy occasionally along with the traffic on Rt. 17 so I recommend camping towards the back of the property near the rear rock wall. There's over 100 acres of heavily wooded land behind it.

The property is 5 minutes from the town of Jay and 10 minutes from the town of Wilton where Lake Wilson is located. There's a restaurant 2 minutes down the road called "My Dad's Place" where you can get great food and see some mountain views. There are many other local restaurants nearby. Lake Wilson allows boating and is a great place to picnic, fish, or swim.
