Party Central. Loud. Not safe for children. Beach not safe to swim in.

This was a family campground years ago and used to be safe but was inherited by young people. Now it hosts loud Grateful dead and other big parties and music festivals all summer and caters to a bad crowd. Not recommended if you want sleep or for children. If you go here check the website very carefully for a week that isn't going to be crowded with hundreds of questionable people drinking and partying to loud music all night .

Great for Kids

I stayed here in a tent back in 2015. Great campground for someone who enjoys a more social experience, and access to many activities! There was plenty of walking to do, a playground, and lots of marsh area to explore with snails and horseshoe crabs around.

Not bad

The electrical hook ups are like 1 box for every 10 camping spots so they r kinda far away so make sure u have an extension cord of some sort and there’s no water or sewer hook ups so fill ur water tank before parking. The WiFi is non existent so if I wanna b off grid then this is the spot for u. It’s beautiful here an quite I just wish I had WiFi for our tv at least

It was ok

We only spent 1 night there and it was not all that crowded. I think if it had been crowded it would have way less enjoyable. The sights are pretty close together. When we pulled in the mosquito’s swarmed but for some reason as the sun went down they disappeared but I will not complain

Beautiful, Clean, Accessible

We arrived at night and woke up to a beautiful view of the water. The sites are well kept and the bathroom was spotless! The staff was really nice and accommodating for our late arrival. Would absolutely stay again!

A Hidden Gem In Midcoast Maine

This spot is gorgeous!  I live relatively close and after camping there for a friends wedding we have been back every year.  This multiple generation owned campground is rustic and spacious.

They also host some amazing events for the community from music to car shows to weddings.

Friendly staff and owners who really know what hospitality means.  Michael and his staff have always been on point and ready to accommodate us.

An absolutely gorgeous spot for camping and events!

I’ve been going to Thomas Point Beach for well over a decade for their annual Bluegrass Festivals on Labor Day Weekend. The festival, which has been organized by the campground owners for over 40 years, won the International Bluegrass Festival of the Year in 2008 from the IBMA.

This year, with COVID messing up all of my festival plans, I have spent a few weeks Thomas Point Beach so far and plan to make another trip soon. The owners are health-conscious, and have added hand sanitizing stations throughout the park. The grounds are finely groomed, and the staff is attentive with any question I’ve had. You will not regret camping here, or attending an event here.

Nice park, but camping is an after thought...

The campground is right at Thomas Point Beach which was fantastic!  However, the sites were only average, no water hook ups, and the electric hook up required a 50 ft. extension cord to reach a pole.

Since it was not too crowded, we were able to find a site that gave us some room, but many sites were right on top of each other.  The bathrooms were less than average in upkeep and cleanliness.

We put our kayaks into the water right at the beach and had a nice float in the bay.  The campground is close to Topsham and Brunswick, which is where we needed to be for the weekend.

I would not recommend this campground as a destination by itself.
