False advertising of private beach

Advertising a private beach that belongs to a private neighborhood. Sent us into a private neighborhood to a beach that's not their property.

Clean, friendly….close to the rocky shore

Wonderful stay at Pemaquid Point.  The campground is about a mile from the lighthouse, an easy drive or bike.  Very clean toilet and shower facilities, and the campsites are a mixture of open to mostly shady…..be sure to request your preference.  A small camp store, including firewood, are on site.    There are a few great restaurants within a mile or so in both directions in Pemaquid and New Harbor if you’re not into camp cooking.    A beautiful , quiet corner of Maine!!

Wonderful Campground Near Pemaquid Point Lighthouse

Spent a night here as we took a road trip up the coast of Maine to Acadia National Park. Very open campground, but each space had enough room, plus it wasn’t very busy when we were there. Bathrooms were nice, but the showers were a little primitive, the water was nice and hot though. Right down the road from the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse with a wonderful breakfast spot right next door — I’d recommend the blueberry pancakes.

Fantastic campground

The staff is amazing and very hardworking. Family run campground, we stayed during the 4th of July weekend and they put on a firework display for the campground. It was above and beyond and fun for everybody. It is located close to the coast and Pemaquid Point Light house is right down the road. We rode our bikes to the beach and grocery store everyday. While the sites aren’t that private each site gives enough space for each camper to make it their own. The showers are clean and hot, bathrooms are clean and they actually provide soft toilet paper. It has everything you need if want to be away from a city. Peace and tranquility, but close enough to attractions and restaurants.
